Hey guys, I’m curious to see what you think about the twinzer; and herb, what would be the advantages of your idea over the twinzer? In an earlier post tom mentioned talking to will jobson would be beneficial. I have had the fortunate oppurtunity to do this since then- will has a brilliant mind and spent hours discussing the twinzer and other aspects of design with me, and I am grateful for that. So, what do you guys think of it? later, ryan
Hey Ryan, What were Will’s comments on the Twinzer as far as his perferd fin placement, etc?? Bottom design?? Fin angles?? Anything else that would be of intrest?? The guy’s really SHARP!!

ASK DAVID NUUHIWA ABOUT MY BROTHER RAY’S Q-4 FISH.As far as my supercharging system goes, there is no comparison.Let’s put this way; it’s the american revolution you know g. washington times and you came up with a reapeating rifle to Gen. Washington, way ahead of it time, for sure, then… I walk up with a AK-47,get the picture.I have all the respect for WILL JOBSON,THE CAMPBELL BROS.,AND ESP. RUSTY,WITHOUT THERE DESIGNS I COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT!!! THANK YOU ALL,AND HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Thanks herb for your comments, and also huge thanks to jim and tom, etc. for the help on making fins! I had no idea before, but now it sounds within reach and I will definitely give it a go. I’ve only been surfing for a couple years, but I already see how huge an effect fin shape and foil has on board performance. Thanks! gh, talking to will was definitely beneficial. The guy is really smart and helpful, even letting me watch him shape a board. Genuinely nice and very genorous, not like a lot of shapers who act like they have something to hide. As for his comments on the twinzer, it is quite complicated and a lot of the stuff went right over my head. His background in engineering has had huge effects on his thoughts as I could see when talikng to him. His main point is that it works well and is super fast, but fin size, placement, angle, and toe in depends on the shape of the board, bottom contours, etc. It is not as easy as putting the same design and placement onto any board, unfortunately. Sorry I can’t help more, but I do plan on continuing my talks with him and trying to apply that to my own design/experimentation. Have a nice 2001 guy’s, ryan
Ryan, I’m stoked for you being able to talk to Jobson. Where is he shaping? Does he have a phone # I could call him at? I’ve shaped a ton of Twinzers and myself and everyone else I’ve shaped them for love 'em! I’d like to ask Will a couple of technical questions. Thanks!!
