I’ve had a few boards come through the shop the wood effect spray jobs, but the ones I’ve seen don’t come close to the real thing, haven’t seen it on fins yet though.
What aboaut usinf a thin veneer as an inlay, you can get the stuff as thin as 0.2 mm should’nt be any more difficult to inlay than using paper.
