Wooden leash plug

Hello,

I made a few wodden leash plugs.
i am going to install one on a p.u. yellow ecological blank.
The question is:
Do i need any glue or can i just proceed as i do it with the plastic ones?

Also thanks to all the users in the comunity that have helped me i am really gratefull

Huck is the wood leash-loop guru.
Maybe he will chime in.

Hello Mr. Stoneburner.

I do hope that someone can assist.
Please remember they are leash plugs just like the plastic ones but made of wood, i plan to make the hole on the board so they stay flat on the deck. Not a leash loop. (Altough it would be nice to know how to glue one to the stringer)
I will post pics when i stop by the workshop.
Cheers and thanks for everything.
Great community

In that case, seems like they should be installed similar to standard commercial leash plugs.
With the caveat that the wood definitely needs to be completely sealed to prevent water absorption.
