I saw Rich on the freeway driving a Japanese car with Swedish racks . I’ll bet his shoes were made in Indonesia.

I bought a Dodge Caravan thinking it was “made in USA” - found out it was actually assembled in Canada using components by Mitsubishi in Japan from recycled metal from the USA! Of course to drive it, I had to buy gasoline refined from crude purchased from our “good friends” in the middle east. Screw that! I’ll walk to the clearcutting protest instead with my cool new Simple shoes - OK, they’re leather but Simple advertises in surfing mag right? Magazine paper from wood pulp?! My house is framed from LUMBER?! “Made in China” the label in my shoe says!!! Maybe I’ll just stay home and listen to my stereo. OOPS…Sony! I went surfing instead and found myself sitting next to a big turd - don’t tell me MY shit gets flushed into our mother ocean?

Now I’m REALLY happy for ya! The surfmats that I build are 100% American made… all the materials and components, too. Custom designed and handcrafted on the Oregon Coast, used and preferred by experienced surfers from around the world. Dale
