Want to buy bearing separator tool/s for the Hitachi P20SB and Skil 100. Also looking for a gear puller for the Skil 100. I want to try and DIY bearing replacement on my planers.
Hoping someone has a set of tools they no longer use they are willing to part with. Figured I’d just buy tools that are tried and tested rather than to order and trial and error tools, as to avoid having to return tools not appropriate for the job.
You can get gear pullers at a local NAPA. There are various sizes. Google “gear pullers”.
Hey Steve I was wondering what you found and if you were able to pull those bearings. I figure you got them pulled based on comments you made on other threads. How did it go?

I have not bought bearings or a bearing puller yet. So I haven’t pulled the bearings yet. I am still weighing my options and hesitant to pull the trigger on the bearings. Probably overtthinking things just to save 15 to 20 bucks.
It’s getting more difficult to have a definitive origin of manufacturing of bearings these days.
