Yellowing/browning along stringer

Hi all.

first post. I’ve have an approx 3 year old morning of the earth twinnie and I’m getting yellowing along the stringer. Only on the deck and not on the bottom. Board is always in a board bag when not in use and stored in the garage so I can’t imagine it’s from too much sunlight

any ideas why? I’ve got some other boards and don’t really want the same thing happening.

thanks heaps

attacjed is a pick with the contrast altered to show what I’m talking about.

Can you get us a close-up of the stringer area.  Used to see this occasionally on the old Clarks.  I’m sure it has something to do with the sin or glue used to glue up the blank.   But I can’t speculate on how that occurs.

I remember also that after Clark’s closure King-Mac blanks came on the scene while I was on Maui.  I believe they had set up operations in Ensenada.  A surf shop owner in Wailuku brought in a batch.  Several were shaped and sent up to the Cannery in Pauwela/Haiku to be glassed.  Finished boards were discolored just as your board.  Reportedly it had something to do with the glue up.  King-Mac didn’t last.
