So im finally very close to finishing my first board. It was a restoration job, it used to be a boat. She's a quad, 6'0'' x19.5'' x3'' (approx) Nose rocker 4' and tail 1' approx. Was oroginally glassed 2 x 6 oz on the deck and 1 x 6oz bottom. I've added a deck patch later though, too squishy it seemed. I know not the best but hope it'll work. also added an extra patch on top of the fin boxes due to the same problem.
Here is the board before hotcoat! Can see all the places where glass bubbled during lam. (Cold + wet irish conditions)

This is where i've added the deck patch and a patch around the fins.

Some horrors

You can see a few patches of glass. These had to be added later. This was the really bad area after lam, the glass bubbled so high that there was no choice but to sand through to level it out a bit. Also seen areas of resin seperation (fisheye) in the hotcoat.

Rail Horrors! The gray patches are the sanded areas. (Might turn out gray afterall :-( ) Again good example of resin separation.

So here it is after second hotcoat. Its better. I wiped it down with 100% IPA, same stuff that woody waverider recomended. http://www2.swaylocks.com/node/1027881 (Thanks for that it helped a great deal).
Next ill open the fin boxes, probably sand the entire board again as there are still a lot of uneven areas.
Ill take some photos during the day, it'll show up better. Prob. will add a pinline as well, bit boring otherwise.
I dont have any fins for it either, and i'm really lost with respect to fin plainshape/design. Anyone have any ideas of what kind of fins will suit it best. The boxes are cambered at 6deg, not sure about the toe (copied original toe).
Sorry for bad formatting, my first post with pics on new site.
