I'll try to grab pics of some of mine ben, i plan on using your small hemp bonzerish style side fins in my 7'2'' widow/single fin. It was part of a quiver cull, but didn't sell, so i'll keep it and play around with different fin setups. I was hoping to sell it to get one of josh's boards. Got another finishing on ebay tomorrow, if it goes, im getting one, if not, i'll cry :)

Supercharged keel swallow tail egg haha. I have routed out the boxes, as there was no toe in them. Im installing new plugs with 1/4'' toe. Hoping for more lift and squirt.

My 9'1'' setup, though those cheap arse junk plastic fins are gone, replaced with fibreglass Shapers sb sides

Odd quad setups ( lm a twin finner! )

More odd quad setups ( this worked very well, probably the best for me as a twin fin fool

This was also a great fin setup for me. I can't help but think fibreglass fins are 10000000 times better than plastic junk.

"thruster" setup in my old 7'10''. Rear of the centre fin was like 8" from the tail haha. Turned fast and loose, and made a big board feel much smaller. Great cutbacks!

Setup on my homemade supercharged twin keel. This is the fastest and most fun board i've ever had. Did i mention it was fucken fast? oh and it was also FAST, but it also wasn't tracky or stiff. Great high line speed runs, but could then come down and around lightning fast. too fast for me. After nearly 3 years on it, i knew it inside out, and thought i could make it more "high performance" by making it smaller, and lighter. Should've enjoyed it how it was. Best board ever. Made me get out there in junk, and i also surfed it in solid 5' waves locally. I got flogged a few times, but when i did make the drop, jesus it was fucken insane, lightning fast top to bottom flowing carves at mach 5. Droooooooooooolllll

Good on ya , Mark !

…try convincing my friends of that , however , and I’m banging my head against a brick wall [ their minds]

Thanks heaps for those photos , mate …I had forgotten some of those fins . Glad you are liking / riding them !

stay STOKED !

cheers

ben

Still havent got a board that's really suited to these fins, but they went well in the pictured board ( homemade, but gone now, funky rocker, my bad! ). Refuse to get rid of them, still want to try them in my 5'8'' eggy twin.

Hey Beerfan the Aipa twins look nice for my pin tail twin( pic above) which I want to try with a small trailer.

Heres two other ones , one Twin keel I sold and an 6’9" egg with a 2+1 setup I will sell this week:

a few others…( anyone else having troubles uploading to this thread ? )

hi Mark ,

did you make those ?magenta? tint ‘tomahawk’ type fins ?

I’m lovin’ it Ben! It’s my fastest board and I’m having trouble keeping up with it.  When I intiate a turn I have to be right on the sweet spot or I get bucked.  It turns with lots of power and speed, the best feeling ever!!!

Pridmore,

That board with the Keels and the Clown, tell me more please!

Looks like an inspired board...

Wouter

Hey Wouter, that one is a custom ‘dim-SIM’ ( my version of the mini ) I did for a guy who was a bodyboarder, he then progressed to a little foamy stand up and got pretty good on it…I used to see him in the waves and chatted with him about board options for him…I wanted him to have a go on one of my ‘lessfin’ boards, thought his booger and foamy experience would cross over to that and he might enjy it…he showed interest in my little ‘dim-SIM’ shapes too…never heard from him for 14 months, then outta the blue, got an email to say he had saved the coin for a new board and for me to mkae him whatever I think would suit him best from what I knew of his surfing and his waves…its good to have a customer put their faith in a shaper and let him do his stuff, think that freedom creates a better board the majority of the time…anyway, I made him a 5’5" x 21 1/2" x 2 11/16" , twin keel, he is absolutely lovin the board, he sent me several thank you emails …Its not the typical progression to riding a mini but its enjoyable for me to see him stoked and now pretty much a committed stand up surfer…he did the artwork and reckon its looks pretty good…fins are hand foiled twin keels, my own template, bit of flex, they go great in this style of board…
