Zig Pens

I’ve Gone through the archives on Zig pens and done some searches outside the forum. I want to know which pen to get for my pin lines. It looks like some pens have 2 sides, a marker and a brush. How much area will one pen get before it runs out of ink? Will the brush side alow you to fill in a larger area say 2" wide or larger and how dark will the coloring be. For the aplication I’m doing now I will be marking on a sanded hot coat. Thanks CG

my POSCA pens only have one side on them… I prefer the large size, even for small pins… I think that it makes darker, more even lines with less coats. Plus it dents the foam less. They can last awhile for pins… but if your drawing a lot they can go quick.

Howzit CG, Try the Zig pen with the 6mm wedge tip. When I could get Zig’s here on Kauai that was the best one. For taped pins you can run the pen sideways which will cover the tape off, For straight pen line Use a straight edge and just run your zig along the edge. Now I punch a hole in my old used up zigs and fill them with india ink, now it’s a felt tipped rapidiograph pen.Aloha, Kokua
