Went to my local flea market like I do almost every weekend and out of the corner of my eye I saw this sitting on a table. I grabbed it and asked the nice old guy how much ? he thought for a minute and said " how does 15 bucks sound ? I handed the planer to my son Tyler and gave the guy 15 bucks and said thank you very much. Came home plugged it in and it runs like a champ. Missing one screw on the belt cover and had no chute. I took it apart and cleaned all the saw dust out, the blades were sharp. Skinned a blank with it and it works perfect. After 20 years of going to the same flea market it finally paid off.
how cool is that?
Nice!
American Pickers eat your hearts out!
ill give you $20 for it!
Keep dreaming Andrew
Collings Wood?
Tom, you crushed my previous record of 60 Euros for the same. 5.5 Amp? If it turns out to be a 7.5 Amp, I won’t talk to you any more.
I’ll give you $40.
Great find Tom. You deserve it!
Tom, that deal is what keeps the hunt alive. Good onya.
Yes I found it at good ol Collingswood, I live about 5 miles from there so every weekend I go at least Saturday or Sunday. I won’t find a thing I need for years and all of a sudden this happens. Guilhem it’s a 5.5 amp so you still have to talk to me I find a lot of old hand planers, spokeshaves, compressors, David planers any old tool you can think of for making surfboards at a fraction of what it would cost new. Plus it’s the old American stuff that lasts forever. Sorry llilebel03 like I told Andrew, keep dreaming. The next time anyone passes a flea market or garage sale take a half hour and go look, you never know it could be your turn to hit the jackpot. Thanks Everyone
Tom the lucky Bastard
My $20 score from a south Jersey auction house. With case, manual and accessories. Condition 9+. About the only flaw was a little bit of rust on the dust chute and the case is rusty.
I guess I gotta start looking in Jersey.

Mako, you hit the lottery with that one,
LOL, this thread will be the stuff of internet legend for years to come.
Hey Tom, I hope you have a lock on your shed. Don’t put it past me to come by in the middle of the night… Or should I steal your Accurate?
My planers are locked up in my gun safe next to my night stand where my killer yellow lab sleeps and my shop is guarded by a family of skunks that live under it, take my kids instead
Kick a ball for Gunner and wear a respirator for the skunks… Problem solved. Is it sad that I don’t doubt that’s where you actually keep your planers?
