this is the book im refering to .i was thumbing through it in a bookshop and found a photo in it with 1965 written on it i cant remember the exact oultine. but it was fairly short . maybe had a pullled tail. ill see if i can find a copy

So what do we think of the Zot in beach breaks, points, barrells. Can you hit the lip hard and vert, does it have a decent cutback or does it turn like a bus and would an advanced rider like it, not a 40+ 210 pound+ guy who surfs twice a week (I'm the latter). I have never seen anyone under the age of 30 ride one in Sydney......are they old bloke boards and if so I'm totally down with that as the beauty of age is the care factor on hipster fashion is ZERO.Solo and others given some good feedback...any more

I can only speak for myself, but my Zot was the most inconsistent board I have ever owned. It was even tide sensitive where the performance would either improve or go off during the same session , and I'm not talking a bit.  The normal fin was nice and loose but didn't have that much drive so I bought the extended tip which had more drive but made it too stiff (serenity now), If you have ever played golf you will understand the frustration. My current board is a blown up potbelly with a 16" nose and tail and is that good in comparison you wouldn't believe and even though its a thruster I reckon it would be just as good if it were a single.  Opinions are only opinions though .

A slighly different Zot
