Rocker Pic.
BTW. The “ASV” above,
its 5’2" x 18 1/4" x 2 1/16"
The plan is to have all fins on the board (both ends). Slide, jumped whatever. Actively surfed both way on any given wave (if you happen to be interested in that, or good enough for that matter).
Fins will be a work in progress. I’m not overly excited about the idea of accidentally running into someone! With razor sharp trailing edges (on the nose).
Thinking half moon type fins but with more of a flat top and straighter sides. Bluntish all-round.
Try thruster first then move on from there.
First surf I’m thinking of “m2” FCS shape all-round to get a feel.
We’ll see ???
2 beer screamer cant wait to see that thig in action moon shine
Hey, 'Moon Soul', you forgot to put a 1 at the start of your post. Thats a more accurate count.
Oh and ‘Moon Soul’… You recokon I should post up the pics of what YOU drew on my wall???
Why am I wasting my time posting on this forum?
Because the ESE’rs are blowing and the slop is sloppy?
Been a good read so far.
Always plenty who read but don’t post.
Today, My Personal Board Project No. 3, A 5’6" x 18 7/8" x 2 1/16" The other 2 on this thread are not yet finished.
Custom orders take precedent.
This one has a flyer in front of the side fins.
The edge is flowing evenly through the flyer.
Nose entry is higher, tail flip later.
Deep single.
clustered fins.
yorky that asv looks like a hazard.
Couple of questions on the orange board did you route out for the bottom veneer freehand? and the hd peanuts do they go all the way through? looks a lot tidyer than the square block I glued in a couple of weeks ago.
Have been useing a t peice with a valve on one end to bleed vac cost about $2 and fkn simple.
Yeah tommorth, I did router the orange shortboard freehand to insert the bottom veneer (steady as she goes).
I learnt a lot on that build and will be doing the same build on the ASV (double ender), But with a different method. Half way there with it and its smooth sailing so far.
The rain has been slowing me up a bit here. I really must finish the shed…soon.
ASV is a novelty board and should be banned if they ever became popular, haha. But there not, yet! So I intend to try it out on a good, crowded day out the “super bank” or even better the “Pass” at Byron.
Who knows???? But You've gone from internet "wannabee" to "Mega-Factory Big time Ozzie Pro" to "hapless underground guru" shaping in a tin shed in less than a couple of years so you ARE the "Bear" of "Big Wednesdy".
Real surfboard builders sacrifice so much just to get good at their craft. No one really cares about you only about if their board is done. The global economy can suck the life out of you like an abortion clinic, and friends and family really don’t understand why you just don’t “get a real job.” Personally I always wanted to do an unreal job, and make people happy; sadly most out there are miserable and resent people who are happy, so they go out of their way to make those who appear happy miserable- go figure.
I am stoked on the shed, and saddened that Yorky didn’t go big. I like the pics too of what he’s doing. Hell, I even enjoyed when he used to give me crap; no I didn’t I just said that. Keep it going Yorky! One board at a time, do your best and make them pay.
…(lol)…Bill Gates don’t have enough money to buy this life.
You guys are to kind. Ha
… I, some how was craving to be at ‘rock bottom’ just to try find whats really going on/wrong, (with me) haha. I really welcome being wrong as to learn, which is a curse.
…This ones for you gettorat
My sons pet rat ‘moe’ on his first surf. Hes gotten sooo fat, now.
Nose drve into sand pick into sling shot to the beach.
Cheers. Take care… untill next our parths cross then…?
That’s some funny stuff, in fact I don’t think it gets any funnier than that. Enjoy that boy and teach the right things so he can be a good man; maybe he will do something nice for you in the future! I walked outside yesterday to dead rat, nothing but the entrails and a face; my cats are doing their job; good for me. I hope you got it on video, that would be classic to see.
See Ya soon.
