"Back to where it all began where life was simple no rip-off people and it was fun"

? why trouble going back through my post??

Anyway, I just use 2", 3m, green tape and fold it back onto itself. No leak can pull 90 KPA easy, (but dont pull that any more ha). 2" Tape, Cheap and easy. Can Re-use bag just peal it off or trim it off.

Personally, double sided tape is a pain in the arse, But thats just what I think??

Hope it helps?

Shit house Internet mate. Ok cool, 3m tape folded over itself?. I’m only using a cheapo aquarium pump to add a veneer to a stringered eps blank. I do have some double sided tape, but keen to know what you use. I might try the 3m green tape, I’m sure I have some around, I know I use it for glassing.

Thanks mate!

Yeah mate, fold it over itself or sandwich the bag between two bits of tape, sticky to sticky. Good stuff the green.

Cheers

I used to use a plastic tube off the roll… tie a knot in one end and then shove down  the vac tube and seal her off with cable tie at the other end . Works real fine but after a while the 100 metre length of tube runs out and it’s back to the distribitors for another roll. Tedious but usefull at times but now the vac box is the bees nuts.

Nice setup. Looks like that’s a much easier way to control wrinkles than vacuuming in a bag.

And it’s pretty cheap to make. Maybe 200 clam$ all up + max 1 days labour.

Cheers.

Wow, that box looks awesome. I don’t have a clue as to how its engineered, but if sure looks comfortable.

And stylish.

Cheers.

Easy to make Yorky. If you’re ever up at main beach GC you can see for yourself. I’m happy to share the tech. In fact, I might get some more pics of her and post em here.

I bet a lot of people would be stoked if you did. I’m interested in getting a final finish straight out of the bag. It looks like you’re already achieving this. That last pic looks like your board is in a showcase.

Sorry to hijack, yorky.

No be my guest.

Id be stoked! It loks amazing.

cheers

Yeah, for sure. That would be great.

I’ll be up your way in a few weeks.

Thanks

Yep, very very nice setup!!

Yep, very very nice setup!!

Hey Crew,

From my surf today the board pictured,

5’9
18 1/4
2/18
low rail, rd pin.

It came out at 3.7 pound (freek’n light)

3 hour surf, very very tiny front foot dint.

It lead me to think, the flex was not quite right, Or, as good as it could be for such a responsive board.

Zing and re bound flex was so fast, to fast, I must stress ‘FOR A BOARD THIS LIGHT’

Thinking load up the bottom with the veneer and soften the rebound on the deck.

But, I want to keep the dint resistance and weight down, AND the rail strength as the EPS foam is VH (very hard in aussie).

Cork!

Any way, This is the ‘Cat Black’

When considering the build above, in this turn.

My feeling is that the veneer (when considering performance), re bound, kinetic energy, etc, would have a more positive effect on the bottom and the board.

Any sugestions? Yes No

cuttie…NOPE! computer is wigging out

For me it’s otherwise, low stiffness bottom will slow spring back. I do both: with end without on bottom, those without were flexier and feel flexible, better in all way.

Thanks,

Please elaborate, Im very interested and peoples experiences.

Cheers mate
