Without measuring them they are the 8" keels,I like the way they ride vs the big twinnies, better rail to rail flow and a bit faster.I’ve been testing it in head high clean surf also,it’s easier to judge performance of equipment in good conditions.

I’ve been riding mine to try to get used to it – it is a pretty big one: 6’4" x 23" x 3"

I’ve noticed that if you get forward of the tail with your back foot, it slides around a lot and if you have your foot on the tail, it really locks into the wave.  Anyway, it does take some getting used to.

anyone for pool ?

my newy and first mini-sims, calling my version the dim-SIM

its even the colour of a bar of lux soap

keels are a hybrid between 2 templates, one was Rastas cutaway that he used a bit a few years ago, the other is Takyama template....

Those look cool Pridemore, see what you mean about the fin setup now:)

these little slabs are insane fun, rode mine today and can feel there is so much potential, just gotta get a bit used to it..already loving the feel and surprised the manouverability of mine, speed to burn, picked up waves great and cant wait til its crap surf now so I can ride this haha....super stoked and am sure I'll be surfing and shaping MORE of these real soon....

I reckon they are liking riding a skateboard with a loose set of trucks.

Stoked to hear you like yours. Look forward to seeing it.

I reckon the Lost Uber plank quad interpretation would take their performance up a notch to suit the shortboard riding surfers.

I was surfing mine this morning and caught myself thinking I could easily ride a 5’4" and with less thickness but then I reminded myself it would speed up its reaction time which would be out of synch with my 47 yr old bodies reaction time.

I’ll stick to thick and slabby for now.

try my 5'3" with a bit of extra curve.....

10/10

maybe a tail pad or really good wax job for the back foot I think coz I felt like my back foot could slip off anytime....anyone else feel this or its probably just me needing to get used to it....

kirk  i am liking this a lot   for a s u p it could grow on me haa’‘’

precission work indeed

              cheers huie

Hey Pridmore when I made mine I didn’t think it would be so responsive, but at 5’5" the board has some snap to it and it does some nice big roundhouse carves. It’s a foot shorter than my daily driver though so I step off the back a few times every session, and sometimes slip off during a big (for me haha) power carve.Mine will be getting quads and a traction pad in the next few days.It will be interesting riding my High performance mini simmons!I’m hoping the quad will allow the board a little more top to bottom surfing vs the tracky but drivey keels.

5' 6" mini simmons ish quad

Here’s a picture of mine.  If I can upload.  Mike

Dang, it worked.  Here’s some more.  Mike

Jesus, my keels feel anything but tracky, not sure what template and flex you are running but maybe try a diff set of keels befor eyou make the big change, but I love the quads too, might do a quad next time just to compare and try something different...like a mini-sims isnt already different..haha....

That was too easy.  Maybe I’ll have to punish ya’all with more photos…   I didn’t like it with the CI turbo keels.  Soft, mushy response.  I liked the board with the modified Zippi keels.  Worked the best with Doc’s keels made by Rainbow fins.  I attempted a triplane through the tail instead of the big concave I’ve seen and tried in the past, and put more belly in the nose than previous attempts.  Splotchy orange and yellow resin tint in Composite’s epoxy.  US Blanks 6-2 C.  Or, is it A?  Mike

more pics are always great, keep em coming......
