Nice work! I really want to get into Vac bagging now!
Thanks fellas.
Everything I know I’ve learned from Sways along with a lot of trial and error.
Just hoping I can help someone else along the way.
Board has been done for a few weeks now…
Taped off the top and bottom…
Then sprayed dark green rattle can on the rails.
After that, I layed out the lace…
Taped it down all the way around (next time I will use spray adhesive on this step. Blue tape only worked so so.)
Sprayed the light green.
And pulled the lace/tape. SWEET!
Pinlines done in rattle can.
Dimensions and other stuff written in white paint pen.
Love the Gearboxes!
Taped them off for gloss.
After all the rattle can had set for a full week, I sprayed it with a 2 part clear.
This stuff is the bomb! Super tough and cang be buffed to a mirror if you want. I just left it as it comes out of the can. Good enough.
Looks really, really good.
Nice looking board chrisp. Cute dog, too! Mike
thanks GDaddy, that means a lot coming from you.
Right on Rooster! He will be at Big Sur this year.
Yeah, that is awesome bro! just checked out the entire build thread. Love your work. Keep it up!
Sick, sick build ChrisP. Thanks for posting.
STOKED!
Nice work!
Eh Chrisp
knowing a little about these.
That thing outta be a blast!
Ah?
Ride report,
Pretty please…
Very clean install on the fin boxes. Attention to details, really make the finished product shine a cut above. If it rides as good as it looks, you hit it out of the park.
This is a very cool build. Thanks for sharings all the details and images. I’m looking forward to seeing it in Big Sur.
Thanks everybody!
This was a fun build even though it feels like it took FOREVER!
hahaha
Board goes really good. Put your foot on the tail and it just GOES loose and carvy too.
I blame that on the Griffin 5 fin setup. =)
I’m stoked on the exposed cork too. No wax for me on this one and the grip is great.
I am pretty sure I will offer this one up for trade at Big Sur this year because it’s a little too big for me.
