Hey Darthvader ,
We know you’re a pro so we have to keep jabbing you to keep you on your toes. Kokua (spelling?) has a special mix for gloss coating and I keep kicking myself for not printing it and saving it. Anyone got a link?
Your sander is a real cool guy. I’m laughing thinking about the trashed brown car he used to drive. I surfed Beacons a couple times a week around 1999.
Good times!

Vader,
Take it easy. I’m guessing you’re semi-joking. The problem 'round here is some of us hobbiests are so wrapped up in what we’re doing we start to think we know something. Don’t take offense. Try to keep in mind that we’re just being enthusiastic. Heck, I’m a total scrub and I find myself compelled to give advice now and then. Who am I? Nobody. But every now and then I think I learned something so my tail starts wagging and I want to share it.
There’s been more than one pro’ that left here because of amateurs that know too much. I hate to see that and, as one of the amateurs, I highly value the input from people that do this stuff for a living.
This goes to out to all the pro’s and experienced amateurs. We need you. Be patient and please keep it coming.
Good thread by the way.

…man, you forgot the 50 grit wet or dry that 3m and Norton s got
Glossing is actually pretty easy if you do it right.(does that help?)
Sorry for the information overload…family’s been in the autobody repair business since 1947. I have too much information about stuff like this I will never use.
