I don’t recall anyone writing an article on the weight of a surfer and noserider dimensions.
We have discussed dimensions a million times, but has anyone pulled from history the names of some good noseriders who weighed in close to 200 pounds? There are lots of 150 pound noseriders, and they use a wide variety of equipment, but what about the big guys.
If you can identify characteristics of a board that work for bigger guys, then you are onto something.
Hell, if I were 150 pounds (but I don’t want to be—I like my size), then I would have a lot less to worry about with noseriding. Being that I am about 190 (plus or minus a pizza and a six pack), then I wonder what works for a guy like me.

I only know what I’ve read and seen online and in print. They seem to be nice and Calvani is considered an experienced shaper. I think if you search here, there are some references to him.
My reasons for choosing the Tudor version had less to do with the current Bing model, and everything to do with my experiences so far with the Tudor boards. Knowing that Joel surfs New York often enough, we gave him a call regading his thoughts on noseriders and such (we have his cell from surfing with him in CR and HI). He took the time to call back on his dime not once but twice and rap a bit on the subject. End result was he gave us his mom’s home number and I dealt with her direct (I had called the office first, and they were not so keen on shipping a board with a glass-on out to an East Coast individual). She was a pleasure to deal with and the entire deal was smooth.
I’m very pleased with the board. This doesn’t mean the Bings are not great, just that I chose to take another option. Let us know if you find out more.
PS
Longboard Magazine has a Bing article this month…Noserider is heavily featured.
