Hull "Bochinche"

what’s the scuttlebutt on the part 2 article in TSJ on hulls/stubbies?

Gonna happen or no?

I’m ssalivating in anticipation…

I seriously hope something like that is in the offing

But it’s almost like we shouldn’t be talking about hulls at all

It’s like Fight Club or something

Maybe not quite like Fight Club

man those pictures are awesome to look at! yes, it is in the works. photos and footage of hulls being ridden from all points of the world…indo, oz, mexico, africa and points in between…

All right now!!!

Hey…that first picture is of my little baby!

Been riding it for about a year now and it has gained status at the top of my quiver. Nothing else rides like hull especially once you learn to properly engage those rails. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…

I’m with ya, Sr Pato. i haven’t ridden my fish in about a year – it’s been mat or hull. when do i qualify for “hull pilot” tatoo?

About three weeks ago i took a pounding with my hull on a good-size swell here ( x2OH+) - caught rail on nearly every wave - first turn – kadang! In two hrs i didn’t make a one wave. But last Sats on a 1-2 ft OH reef – long wave – just bliss.

Ok all you chickenshits…check out http://liddlesurfboards.com.hosting.domaindirect.com/mcelvaneytwo.jpg

I’d love to see the next picture in the sequence…

Hijo’e Puta! If that guys makes it past the BT, he’s gonna FLY

I’ll bet he made it. Look at his stance, right rail slicing in and grabbin’ a handful of face to pull into the right angle of attack! Beauty!

from Liddlesurfboards.com :

I dunno about that, marc. in that situation, it looks to me like he’s gonna still airdrop a foot or two. i can imagine a pearl or a rail catching.

Who and Where? I think he looks to be in control and likely made that wave!

Laughing out loud!

Mike McElvaney in Tahiti. There was no photo credit at Liddlesurfboards.com.

Belive me boys Mr M is in control and is about to roll that baby over on the rail.#2 hull article is in the works.

If he were out of control, he’d be looking down at the board or the water.

He’s looking ahead - ten to one, he made it…and will again. No looking - his feet (& board) are on autopilot.

What’s really amazin’ is Mr. M’s choice of board. i mean in a wave of that type, i would think your choice would be a board that helps contain the power and stay in control. ( thruster - pulled nose - narrower ). i think of a hull as a board that helps you squeeze every drop of glide out of not so powerful waves.

BTW - not taking anything away from mr. M - and yes he looks in good position and all – i agree there - but that wave still looks like it’s jackin up and the bottom is falling out. a nanosecond later he could look not so in control… anyway – i’m still new to hulls ( only since aug last year started riding mine), so i’ll yield to the experienced here. ( i just dig these hull threads, and subconciencely give them impetus

SURFGUY80: awesome board ( another ‘hull’ thread )

Tempting, very tempting offer on the boards for sale. I better stop eating all of the tortillas.

Funny thing is, in that photo, I’d say that looks like a good position to be in on any type board, headed in the right direction, definitely a mind surfing wave.
