We created some new grafics, see:
japanese consumer market as others, regards a surfboard as an item or accesory that is displayed at home or under arm purely for fashion or image purposes. most of these people that buy these boards are maybe attempting surfing knee high onshore surf, once a month with 600 other people. It seems strangely fitting that the graphics used on these boards look like a latop screensaver( another mass consumer product item).
surfboard graphics has a place in art history alongside “stencil magic” and “paint by numbers” etc etc
a clean and clear board can regarded as art in its simplicity and functional purity
