These are some I’ve done.
Dig the “no evil” frogs Swifty - did you draw them yourself? I like their colours too, and that they’re all different. Makes it pop out more than just having them be all the same colour…
It WAS probably done to death in the 70’s, may still be on hotrods today, but…
Does anyone have any ‘flames’ on their boards [a la Aipa “stingers” , c1975 ] , or cars ?
I’d LOVE to see 'em !!
…cheers !
“chip” (ben)
‘enter the dragon’ :-
'Speedy', ( or anyone ) ...WHAT was the name of the guy who did the 'Yes' album covers in the 70s ?
[because I think this was ‘lifted’ straight from his artwork, somehow!]
I wish I could take full credit for those frogs. I copied them from the net. I also use a projector to do sum of the graphics it helps keaping them in proportion when you are drawing on a large scale. I have the pic if you want it send me your address and I will email it to you.
Cheers
Some skating inspiration…Jim Muir’s " Dogtown Skates Designs" [1970s] …
Hi Jarrod !
I hope you don’t mind… I just reckon Swaylocks needs to see these, if they haven’t already !!
" Shwuz’s tint finesse " …
[ I hope you don’t mind, Kokua ] …I love this…it belongs HERE !

THanks ben! But since you’re already pimping my tints and pins, you can’t leave this one out. It is my favorite cutlap/pinline combo that I have done yet. Maybe because it was the first design that I didn’t blatantly rip off from another artist… One mentioned earlier in this thread. Big nod to Pinliner, he is a true inspiration.
Jarrod, I like the pinlines and everything, but I couldn’t crop out the E.T. in the bottom left corner, so I went with your tints instead. A man with an out of space board [‘pingu’] DEFINATELY needs an out of space dog , to fully complete the picture… good choice…"the dog who fell to earth " . [nothing against your dog okay buddy?]
ben
uh, oh…I just got a phone call… he’s UPSET !! The dog’s REAL owner …
he wants you to give it back, Shwuz! …
Howzit chipfish, No problem, I'm trying to find some more but I may have deleted them but I'll keep looking. Aloha,Kokua
Here is a bonzer I shaped. Moonlight did the abstract resin work… those guys rock!
and some more…
#8 is inspired… thanks! it makes my heart exhale accumulated pain …the simplicity would make the maestro proud to have you continue the perception of the clean suggestion of form … the contrast of white foam on the sharp orange is the most refreshment my parched mind could possibly need…ambrose… Matisse eat your heart out
I LOVE this orange twinny, ‘speedy’…
…is that a tint with cutlaps then spray on top of the tint, or… just a really nice airbrush job ?
have you checked out some of tfad’s postings at surfer yet ? I think you’d love some of the Martyn Worthington style sprays [his dad] ‘pinliner’ has done. He’s a master … I’ve saved heaps onf them, and Jean -Paul has kindly let me use them here, as he said…photos are there to be seen ! So, bit by bit, you’ll see some of moonlight glassing’s handiwork over the next however long ! I hope you enjoy them and get as inspired as I did when I first saw these shots…craftsmanship, I think you’ll agree! here’s some for starters… my apologies for not knowing whose boards they are…the ‘rob’ ones might be yours are they, ‘rolliges’ ? BEAUTIFUL… green eggs and spam !! ben
