Ah, the pig of steel…
I heard he was last seen on an outer island in the western pacific, being force fed by topless island beauties, toking on imported Guguan buds, and catching perfect lefts and rights with an un-named offsider who dropped out of the pro circus due to tax evasion and failing urine tests.
Huey laughs a lot, and the pig still rips!!!
Hicksy, that so totally rocks!! That must be so fun to have kids you can get involved in the process! We need to see some action shots on that board, and soon.
Howzit chipfish, dug this one out of my other coputer, the board was shaped by Mark Angell and finished by me. 50 points for anyone who can identify the guy holding the board, Ambrose and Herb Spitzer already know who it is so zip your lips. He's been building boards for almost 50 years. Aloha,Kokua
Hey Wildy
I painted Capt Goodvibes about 3 hours before I glassed the board. One of my girls said “Pigs can’t fly!” and I told her that is why I’m putting him on. Drew him from memory, all those years of doodling at the back of the classroom has finally paid off.
His offsider was Astro, the half man half dog. The good captain was the only living being that could consume 16 times his own bodyweight in Chicko Rolls before breakfast…
Rock on, good vibes to all
Hicksy
Thanks Shwuz, Hopefully get it in the water this week.
Here’s some more of CG art, radical board shape.
cheers

I will take my camera along to the ‘wood board’ get-together on the 13th november at scabs beach. Might even take my wetsuit , just in case… ( Hicksy, fortunately, can use a 400 lens, so…)
I’d DEFINATELY like a go on the ‘stubbie’.
…it’s a pity about the tiny twin ‘keels’ on it , though. My " pedanticity" [word?] insists on that being a big ol’ single fin. It will be a challenge to ride with the little side fins, THAT’S for sure !! I guess we’ll have fun trying.
Pray for surf for that day, so we can hopefully really get to feel out and see how the hickster stubster [? “hicubster” ?] rides !!

Here’s Grant, masking off the cutlaps’ line on the deck, prior to glassing the artistic bottom ! [the board’s , NOT his!]…
… nice colour pine wood and cork rails , eh ? Not a bad effort for only a second wood board ever, I rekon !! [And , only his third ever board shaped !!] Good stuff !

Hey chipfish, we may have mutual aquaintances.
I worked at Island for several years and know Greg Hogan.
Great part of the world for consistent waves. Cold and quality are big factors.

and , here’s a nice tiger fabric inlay…THANKS, Luke !!
