Monster board bags?

I am currently working on a 12’6 tandem board and am having no luck finding a huge board bag for it. Anyone know of a place that will make you a custom one?

Also need a place to get big peices of grip pads for kneepaddling etc. to replace wax on the deck of this beast. Anyone have some insight on either?

thanks

Maybe as last resort you could sew two sleeping bags together?

maybe try an auto/marine upholstery shop, they might be able to fab something for you out of vinyl and foam rubber padding.

If you find something report back. Thinking of something around 12’ too.

Ok after diggin for a while i found this website.

way cool stuff on there. Hopefully ill be getting an email tommorow about my new custom board bag.

i know of a place w/ cheap stick-on traction pads. or you could hula-dek it?! send me a message and i’ll dig up the web address.

Hello,

I should be able to help you out with a 12’ custom bag. You can send me an mp or conatact me at surfboards@libertysurf.fr to discuss the options. We’re doing a run of bags in the handwoven mexican blanket fabrics, a few in moroccan fabrics as well, foam cushioned and lined, shoulder strap, etc. Found a great shop that does a lot of boating-related work, and they do a great quality job.

Hope that helps.

Jeffrey

can’t help you with the board bag ,

but here’s a board caddy for your 12’er …[is this you , ‘Overboard’??]

…she likes them big ! [despite the misleading t-shirt …sorry , “Stubs” , you missed out this time !]

wotcha talkin’ bout ? I’ve always looked up to big women. Hell, I look up to almost everyone at my height

Only place I know of is in Bali. However if you have friends going there… That how I get my boardbags.

Hola,

Here in Spain is Bull Sails, in Tarifa. They make custom board bags. You bring them the board and they cut and sew your requested boardbag.

They are quite used with foreign sailboarders, so I think they will be pleased to help you.

www.bull-sails.com isn’t working for me

Let’s see- I have found that Destination will customise a bag for you, including making them bigger: http://www.dsurf.com/site/contact.php

Pads- http://www.pearsonunlimited.com/PriceList.html , see P5 or look in the archives here for kneeboard pad sources

hope that’s of use

doc…

Austin,

Not sure quite what you’re looking for…But you might try:

www.boardsockshop.com if it’s for day bag/sock protection rather than a travel bag.

They custom make socks to your specs.

Good luck - Pete

OOooops, sorry

I use these and they work great BUT, you have to wax them or you will get rash… I order it with the 3M stick already on it…

“…you have to wax them , or you will get rash…”

[Not sure about the waxing bit , though …looks like shes already DONE that , maaaate …]

Austin, you might email Gregg Hunt about bags. He used to have a link on his site to a woman in LA who made them herself. You’d send your length, width, nose & tail, and thickness - true custom. I had one made of Mexican Blanket (lined) for a 12’er and it came out great. Was around $75 including shipping.

But the link is gone :frowning:

Find Gregg at www.huntcustoms.com

Infinity sells their own traction pads and specializes in Tandems…must be a solution there somewhere.

Julie Designs will custom make a bag for you. I know because they were going to make one for my 11-2. Turns out they had an 11-6 in stock so I didn’t need the custom. I was buying the bag through Harbour Surfboards in Seal Beach so I don’t have the direct number to JD.

They make strechy sock and canvas bags for sure, but I don’t know if they make travel bags. You can find their bags for sale on a lot of websites.

Check with these guys. They’re usually awsome when it comes to service and they can probably order it and have it shipped to you.

While you’re at it, check out the New Arrivals section on the website. You’ll find a couple resin swirls in there.
