Have you guys used these?
Looks like they'd be fun in small surf, but in big stuff, they might create too much lift in the tail
For 50-60 bucks I’d try’em, but they go for $106. High rollers let us know how they go!

Have you guys used these? The peanut gallery is now open....

i'd just like to say, pity these fins have been limited to be only used with FCS, i can only imagine the possibilities using fins like these with my 4 way fin system plugs , i could simultaneously be adjusting toe-in or out or various splay settings to find the optimal performance for each board....
i just love playing with fins... it opens up many undiscovered design elements every time...
interesting, to say the least....

Dean

everyone wants to get in the hydrofoil market
props to Harris who started most of this with his 3D
old harry and npj were doing those hydrolfoilys on the rails a couple of years back!. remember the carve of the week huie posted. looks valid
Interesting but so expensive.
The price of fins relative to the price of an entire surfboard is out of proportion.
Feedback from those who have surfed these has been overwhelmingly positive and we'd love you guys to give them a try..... we've reduced the price by 25%....
Do you have any demo sets available?
I’m just up the M1 on the Sunshine coast.
Am very open minded and willing to try any and everything but sometimes satisfying curiousity (esp when it comes to different board types) can become prohibitive $ wise.
send me some and I'll do a full , honest trial on them and report back with feedback...I have done this for C-drive and another company ....hard to beat testing and honest feedback....PM if keen....
Hey Cuttlefish,
Paul Woodbry from Woodys Surf Designs/Surfware Australia has a set on his board - check out his testimonial on our website - completeley independent.
"I put the fins in my newly designed fish that was not quite working the way I had in mind. They instantly gave the board the spark that I had been chasing in really small waves. I changed the rear fin a few times, each time getting a different feel but still positive each time. Surfed that fish in 4' and was so surprised when it didn't spin out but just accelerated out of turns and passed most sections whilst still having full control."

Will chat to Paul - have some sets on the way to him - will let him know you want to try them out. He's in Caloundra.

...maybe...
..... till you make them yourself
THEN you begin to realise the cost of materials , time , labour [ and not to mention the dreaded fibreglass itch , of course !!]
i'm thinking THESE fins are probably moulded though , eh ?
cheers

Do you have any plans to export them to Hawaii? I'd love to try a demo set.

"I'm really impressed with the Foilz in all conditions. In fast sucky down the line waves they hold in incredibly well in the barrel. In smaller waves I've had a lot of practise on them. **The speed they generate is like no fin I've used before.**They give extra lift to the tail but seem to hold in well through turns but give you that extra pop out off your top turns. All round really fun performance fins." **Corey Ziems**
"**Got some pumping waves and thought I'd let everyone know they need to try Foilz in big barrels.** I've always thought that barreling waves would be the ideal wave for these fins, but **I didn't expect them to work this well!**Straight off the bottom you have your speed and while you're in the barrel it just wants to keep pushing you along. It feels like you can get deeper and still have the control of your tail without it getting caught by the foam or sliding out in the barrel. I'll be taking a set of the Foilz to every top to bottom barreling wave I go on from now on." **Corey Ziems Oct 2010.**
Thanks,
I’m up Maroochydore way so I’ll get in touch with him.

I tried to follow the thread on the "other" fin discussion about alternative fins, and had to bang my head on the keyboard before I was through... What I wanted to know, is if anyone has tried the Future Elevon fins? I'd like to know more about them and if there is any effectiveness in their design, since they are QUITE costly! Southcoast Surfshop in Pacifc Beach wants $199 for the 4 fin set of them!! I shape mostly mid 6' and under boards and have been doing quite a bit of quads lately and have been eyeballing them out in the brochure but I just can't see them working on a frantic board like a 6'0" quad fish.. Any thoughts from the panel?

Robbyson
