I am selling a 5’6" (66 inches) Vintage Pearson Arrow Twin Fin Surfboard with Hotline Hotsuit Logo’s on it and a unique split fin! This is a super cool piece of surf history that would be great to hang at your surfshop as a display or a collectors item. $145 obo.

No idea why it would be called a twin fin…maybe because of the starfin in it?

Looks to me like Pearson made a Lazer Zap.

i saw that too Benny.

i’d love to check it out.

wanna go halves on it?

We’ve been watching that too but it looks so beat, I would hate to drive to Milpitas for nothing.

i was thinking it’d be a good learning tool.

the more ways we split it the cheaper it gets!

LOL

Maybe we should offer $99 and split it 3 ways…share custody, like. Where’s Lavarat…he’s always up for a novelty.

sounds good

I sold them the fin. Jump on it. The fin is worth the purchase. They came really close to getting the zap right too. Not quite…but close.

Benny, Chris & Steiny,

I’m down for splitting it with you guys. Hopefully its not too busted up.

-Rio

maybe someone should email him/her…

do we have any questions besides

“is it still available?” ???

you know what’d be a kick…

if we all bought it, fixed the repairs then

had a get-together at say OB, or ???

anyone who wanted could surf it.

also, we could have a show and tell of our

sways inspired craft…

turn it into a regular nor-cal Sways get-together

whaddayathink?

Works for me. At 5’6", my time on it will likely be limited to one wave :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll email today.

Ben

Hmm, that’s an old board. That Pearson decal the middle of the board on the deck hasn’t been used in ages. I wonder what the serial number is on that board, and who it was made for. Bob has mentioned some sort of a past with Cheyne, though I don’t know the details. I do know there is an ancient template kicking around the factory that is identical to that board- it has “Cheyne” scribbled across it and not much else. Awesome find! -C

Umm, what do you guys think?

I emailed the guy, this is what he said:

Hello, the board does have cracks and will need repair as well.Im thinking about keeping the fin and letting the board go for $70 ,let me know.

T***y

Keeping the fin?!

-Rio

I offered $100 and he also emailed me back “fine - without the fin.” I suspect he’s had other emails asking if he would sell the fin only, maybe $50 or 60…?

Its only fun if we get the whole shebang  Should we offer asking price? There’s 3 or 4 of us in at this point…

Hey, I’ll pitch too, But only of you guys can get the fin with the board! -Carl

We’ll pitch in too! but only with the fin. How 'bout a nor cal swaylocks day at Manresa? surf, bbq, bs?

Just sent him another offer, contingent on getting the fin too  Thanks guys, this could be fun!

woo hoo!

thanks Benny! =)

Good job Benny!

This is going to be fun…post some pics of the board please.

-Rio

He said he was going out of town for the weekend, but after that he’d get back to me. I offered the asking price, eventually …what the heck  I’ll keep all my partners posted. Kinda time-share style or something!

Anyone want to go in on 1/5th shares of a Da Cat? ha ha ha
