more standard winter weather ...
it just makes me want to enjoy the ...er..."ambience" [whaaaat???]
...this is the view out my front window [this USED to be a junkie-riddled caravan park , next it's going to be yuppie million dollar apartments , like next door to me is , also ]....
meanwhile , back on the beaches....
it took the tide to go out to get moving [never a dull moment with 'superman' !]....

Hey Chip, nice shots, nice spots. Surprized to see a Walden!
thanks " t " ! [?real name?]
yes ....we get boards from EVERYWHERE , here in Australia.
it's actually "Moonfish" 's [Shannon's] , but i've been riding it ?since march? this year , almost exclusively , as he has been making himself a couple of boards this year. i'll end up buying it off Shannon , putting an extra plug or two in the back , so i can ride it as a SINGLE fin , too [with li'l bonzer runners, from time to time !]
cheers !

in an old mal comp, at a retro board comp day to raise funds for disabled surfers, top guys and great fun....I came 2nd in the retro single fins but these mals are hard work to ride and I learnt respect for the old crew who had to ride them in big surf and no leggies, we have it sooo much easier nowadays....
my son at 5 yrs old on a board we reshaped togther , it was a 7'0" single fin, now a 5'0" fish....

my local breakwall, small this day but was perfection, only a few out, pics dont show how epic it really was......
those pics look really average ( last 2 ) but I swear it was really pumping, every wave was a barrell and just great shape and power for head high waves.......but I dont blame ya if ya dont beleive me from thos pics....
I like this shot Ben.
thanks for your comments , guys ! [ well, that gives me a bit of reassurance of WHY I even bother , I guess ?!]
yep , John , and Greg ['Wildy!] ....I was STOKED when i got that shot !!
when I'm looking at a tiny screen , held at arm's length , while floating around , trying to avoid poundings and at the same time , squinting into the sun ...... with a camera which I'm not sure WHEN it has actually taken the photo [!!] ...yep , it sure SEEMS harder than my good ol' trusty nikonos 2's and 3's used to be ...so when I get a shot like this , yes , it's a rarity ! [and seems like some sort of a 'blessing' [for want of a better word] , in a way?] .....
cheers !
