Hot pink resinhead.
I’ve tried every combination with red and white and NOTHING looked good.
No Pepto please.
And no tightywhitey shots please.
Now thats a visual “58 year old guy sitting in the dark…over weight…typing on the computer, pink tighties.”
You’re supposed to separate your laundry…
What’s this all about? “” Hey maybe this board is for Peter Townsend. “”
windyyyyy
peter's trademark color back in the days was pink.
in the 70s and 80s, pink wetsuit were the rage.........lol.
you could paint the blank with liquitex paints..........they have several pinks available, including neon/hot pink.

Shaun Tomson in the middle, Pete Townend on the right, at last year's Sacred Craft - wearing you guessed it, his trademark pink!
Just like everysurfer said “Fiberglass Hawaii red, just add a little and you get pink”. Use red tint, no opaque colors, keep adding red till you get the desired shade of pink. If that doesn’t get you close to the color you want and feel you need to add white use a translucent white, not opaque you’ll get that pepto shade. If you need to use opaque white use only a very small amount since it’s strong and dissolve it 1st in styrene so it mixes throughly and won’t bloom and give you little spots of pigment. You can go to Hastings Plastics in Santa Monica, since it’s closer than Fibreglass Hawaii in Ventura to get the trans white, they also sell tints in paste and liquid form. Also if you haven’t called Fibreglass Hawaii you should, they may have something already mixed or tell you how to since they sell supplies to guys that make fishing lures, pink is a popular color.
You can also go to crystaliner in costa mesa, they should be able to help you out. or foam ez probably has what you need to.
Whitney,
Did you get the tint I sent? Put it in the mail just last week. Just a few drops mixed in is all you’ll need.
Working on it boys…
stay updated for photos of tomorrows glassing activities!!!

THANKS for that shot , resinhead ! [where from?]
' windy ' , your board looks nice !! [yep , I saw it first on 'facebook' ... So....DID you end up doing it with diluted red tint , or was it a spray ?]
... now , young lady , would you like some pink fins for it ?
cheers !
ben

i like it.
Hastings Plastics in Samo will do custom color mixes. At least they used to.

herb
it was red with a bit of magenta
Looks pretty in pink from here…
That looks HOT... pink to me.
My first board was an old Peter Townend shaped Gordon and Smith Tube Shooter (hehe).
Canary yellow bottom and yellow and lime green fade on the deck. Highly recommended, especially if you're around 10.
People on Swaylocks get too hung up about all that trivial shaping and design stuff when they should be focusing on the really important things like does that shade of pink match my toe polish and is the logo angled correctly off centre.
"when they should be focusing on the really important things like does that shade of pink match my toe polish and is the logo angled correctly off centre."
hahaha CLASSIC , Claude !!
THIS is why poms are ALWAYS welcome here !! [At least by me , anyway !!] ...
some of the funniest crew I have EVER met are from your fair[skinned , and fairly WET and dark , cold ] country ...haha jokes [sorta?]
gosh , I MISS 'FATBASLARDASS' , too ?!! ....
....I wonder if THIS time , he really DID end up getting abducted by aliens ? Maybe , after all his years 'joking' [about it] , maybe it actually became a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts ?
[or maybe , like in the 'Coneheads' movie ? HE really WAS one of them ? Like my hero , good old Mr.Squiggle , ['google search' for him , if unsure] ....'Fatty' may have just been visiting this planet for a short time ?]
Well, WHO knows , eh , Claude ? [ I certainly DON'T !!]
....SOOOO many great unanswered mysteries in life , eh ?!
but ,
as long as YOUR nails and board match .....then , Claude ,
life is GOOD , man !
...so... you keep the british end up , 'what ho' ?!
cheers
ben , west oz
