I’m looking forward to the Sacred Craft at the Ventura Fairgrounds. I plan to attend both days and am looking for a place to rest my weary head on Saturday night.
I’m housebroken and I don’t get homesick.
I will probably be going up with Saf. I don’t know as to his potty training or his longing for his Torrance by the Sea homestead, but a Hullaffectionatto he is true.
Sway Hullers, please let me know of any bed to stay in in the Ventura area.
I will bring Saf’s leash.
I wonder if I will be able to get KP’s autograph at the show?
pm me.
Gee, I don’t know PJ… You failed to mention if you snore.
I’m bummed I’m in a wedding that Saturday, but I am gonna try to go Sunday.
brian,
thanx again…love this board.

some inexpensive options. the vagabond inn, the best western inn of ventura and the country inn are all right together, near downtown, the beach and fairgrounds.also, ventura river RV park has tent camping as well as rv. has a pool, clubhouse, etc. it too, is real close to all the activity.

Larry at Fibre Glas Fin Co. was kind enough to make us some new fins.
How thick are they?
The fin on the left is 8" and is out of a 3/8" panel. The 9 5/8" fin on the right is out of a 1/2" panel. All fins 9" and above will be cut from 1/2" panels.
not to be a weeny,
but i went up there awhile ago
to look at this board…it’s
actually 21" wide
and 2 6-7/8" thick… i my used caliphers
not that it isn’t a nice board and all…
just not correct dims…
oh well! it looks good from here. if it was a bit cheaper (a lot cheaper!) i might be able to add it to the shed. i love marc’s boards- all spinkled with magic dust
have fun!!!
ah yes- the original whale tail fin. born on a point between two hull guys, years of refinement. nice to see it in production.
What a wonderful flowing design that PG fin has!
Hey Matt,
Who were the" two hull guys"? Paul, George, and maybe Ringo, who was sitting too far outside.
What differences do you notice, in both design and performance, between this “whale tail” and the GL fins?
Dude, you sure it wasn’t Robert and Jimmy, or maybe Mick and Keith?
oh don’t get me wrong…it’s nice
and in very good condition…
in fact i bought a fineline egg off him
but he’s been trying to sell ithe vaquero for
at least 6-9 months…hmmmm
so might be worth a conversation…
i’d say $350-75…would be more like it…
i know there’s magic in my miller hull…
first day…several times completed blinded by spray( it was really howling that day)…
i felt the drop and and ensuing jetison out of the bottom turn before i could see clearly as i was starting to accelerate down the line…2 rides really stood out …the first and last of the day…
1st time i’ve felt that…
so it’s all over me…no hope it all…
into the abyss …
Hey Spence,
What boards are those fins designed for?
I use the 8" fin on the left in the 9’8" PG Velozimmons. The 9 5/8" is for my 9’2" and 9’4" spoons.
Then I’ll have to try the 9 5/8" fin in my 9’4" Spoon. Thanks.
