you are welcome. it is how it all went down.KP-for those interested- is alive and well. he actually had to pay for a surfboard recently which has caused him great shock.i expect his recovery to be quick and uneventful…
i should probably add that i don’t think KP has paid for a board since 1972 or so, that’s why the shock was so intense…
yes quite a nice story and thanks for the KP update too.
Gets a guy wondering what board would be so special that KP would pay for it after 30 or so years of not… knowing the caliber of boards he does get…
it was something than any of us would to have paid triple that amount for. the guy is connected…!
I’ve collected boards for years, Yater Spoons, Bings, Hobies and my Liddles.
I have to agree, ride them, don’t let them collect dust.
Wow. What board is this that KP would be willing to fork out hard earned cash for? Must be special. We need pics!
when i said “paid triple” it was more than hard earned cash involved. it was a lot of emotional, mental and physical stress, along with the cash, that made it so hard , yet so unique. i doubt we will ever see any pics and i have sworn myself to secrecy. it’s up to him if he chooses to do so… anyway, anybody get waves yesterday?
Wow one more bug worked out on this reply, I actually went to where I wanted to reply.
I got some updates throughout the day about secrets. It was a sad day for hullers from 7 am through the afternoon.
Lots of stuffing-burning going on, too many barneys and too many nose walkers.
Anything waves going on in your neck of the woods?
plenty of swell but man the conditions sucked and are worse today…
I took one look at Malibu and headed back to Topanga. Only had to fight with a couple of chip riding groms and made it through to the inside a couple times on an 8’ stringerless Spence hull that afoaf loaned me. Had a blast trying to get it to fly backside.
I saw your picture on the bloggers goo. looking good out there! Somebody e-mailed an LA chick that likes to bangbang. Pretty funny. Seen her up here w/ the posers.
brian…thanks again for the board…
steiny …super slippery fun this afternoon
dan,
stoked that you were able to get some waves on her.
new board offshore point good times
Huh?
Sorry Epac, ya lost me there.
