The grizzlies are insane. I was on the summit maybe 10 feet above these awesome creatures. I came up the ridgeline and they came straight up the face-I couldn’t believe it. Next morning, I woke up with a family of them crawling around and beneath my truck at the base.

Mike, the bears were captured orphans at a place called fortress of the bears in Sitka. This place was an old pulp mill or something that had 2 - acre large circular concrete enclosures. There were about 8 bears, and I think those were brown bears. We were in walkways just above the bears. I really loved seeing all the Bald Eagles. I’ve never seen them before. Those were all in the wild, but we went to place where they take care of injured birds of prey. The eagles are large, and beautiful. The closest thing we have in size are Iwa birds (terns?) Iwa birds get pretty big.

my wife’s cat mesmorized by the surf film “fish”, (which I highly recommend). Watched it for about 15 min. I finally got my camera just as he looked down.

For all you people in the northern hemisphere enjoying winter.
It’s midday and 30.8 degrees here in Australia.
But earlier this morning it got to 50.2 degrees C, and that’s celcius so it’s 130 F
Luckily the ocean is that blue thing at the end of the street.

Bring your warm water wax when you come !

Hi Sharkcountry. We were fortunate enough to see several grizzlies on a tour into Denali. A sow with 3 cubs and two other adults lounging on the side of a hill. From the safety of an old school bus. Huge heads! Magnificent animals. Keep the photos coming. Cool thread. Mike

Great thread!
Sharkcountry… We have quite a few different species of raptors around our house. We see some every day and bald eagle sightings are not rare… According to my neighbor, there used to be a big hollowed-out dead tree right behind our house. A bald eagle had a nest up there. Apparently, when the tree finally fell down, it had about a dozen small dog and cat collars in it.

Lame surfing game. But it’s a bit of fun if you’ve got quick reflexes.

Come out of a Mickey D’s one morning and saw this.

Went down the road aways and saw this.

amazing art pcinsc. I like that dog, Ding! I love classic rides. What is the fastback? That’s sort of funny, chrisp. The goldens have made a big come back around here. I see them on the way to the beach. Sometimes they come over the playground during recess and I get the kids all revved up. Eagle! eagle! eagle! Love living here. We had 4 soaring around the house the morning of my mother in law’s end of life celebration. Made me wonder…Mike

Aloha Rooster,
The ‘‘fastback’’ auto is a 1949 Cadillac.

Thanks Bill. Bet I could fit my 7-9 in there easy. Hah!
