Excellent work Ken!

(and you know damn well it ain’t done till it shines!)

Super Nice!

thank you woody

Looks like Stingray and a2tall had the same idea with a different method.....This is my first attempt with 8oz Volan. Wbrame made the fins.....glass looks greener in person and you can see the 8oz weave............

it looks nice with the double concave too , Ray ....

do you have shots of the WHOLE board , top and bottom , and the rocker / foil , please ?

what size is that ?

  cheers mate !

  ben

beautiful board stingray, i feel that the “Coke Bottle” tint never comes out as vivid in photos as it does in person.

Nice work Ray.  Tell us something about the blank.

hey Ray

nice work

is that just volan or did you throw some tint in it?

2.5 # EPS foam from a guy that was going out of business. FUSR logo on blank. "T Bone" hand written on the side of the blank. Too bad the company went under. RR Kwick Kick. 8 oz Volan cloth I got from the Lower Tech Lab down in SD. No color other than the Volan. I botched the overlaps on the fish tail but learned a big lesson. The deck has several weak spots and sand throughs because I've never worked with cloth this thick. SanO Local posted some great comments on another thread about a week after I sanded this one. So I learned more. The "butt crack" was done with a Dremel tool and a "drum" sanding bit. Learned that on Swaylock's. The stringers on the tip and tail were sanded with an angle grinder. Learned that on Sway's too.....and the double concave is because the stringers kicked my ass so I just had to go with the flow!!!!!!!!!     Stingray

...and ...

  dimensions , please ?

whole board and rocker shots ?

  cheers ray !

Wood rasps (for the rough stuff) and wood files also work good for the butt crack…

Wood rasps (for the rough stuff) and wood files also work good for the butt crack…especially if you have a stringer there.

Was this the guy in Encinitas?

Nice work as always Bud.  Don’t leave that one out in the hot Hawaiian sun!

What’s going on with the bottom contour?  Is it just the reflection or is there some kind os semi panel vee with a concave in between (at the tail)?
