“The kid” worked at global before Moonlight. But like Vader said they are all friends…after a common goal…

The most impressive thing about Vaders last creation is the weight. Gotta be one of the lightest splashes I’ve felt yet.

I dint neeno pinliiiiiiines . . . .

                           eeethur

?

imho tape offs are just as important as the shape they work together to make the outline shine…and im not even close to 36 so that theeeorreeee is out the window.

yours truly,

VADER

darth i have been using the old english since crisy lrt me know if i am out of step

…pattern

hmmm, the pictures are too small to see details

Vader,

I use sarcasm often and my own humor that not many jive with.

And I realize my work is shoddy, and yours is immaculate. I’ve glassed 20 boards.

Sorry for posting something original and different on SWAYS anywhere near your

work.

Clean lap cuts and pinlines take time, especially for beginners. Many times, I

just want to ride the thing, as I’m not trying for money.

I look forward to more of your colorwork.

MORGHEAD-

            out.

there IS someone else out there feeling the same!

i still havent let any of my boards get glassed by anyone else cause im so anal about my lap size and logo placement…i think those two things are far more critical in making a board look ‘right’ than most people give them credit for…logo too low and the board looks like a fat pile of lard, too high and it looks like a pencil, just right and it compliments the curves and brings the whole visual of the board together…

Very well said.

it all comes together when everything’s in its place

Here are a couple of boards by my close friend & shaper Steve Friedman who I think originally started at Con Surfboards moved to Hawaii to work with Ole Surfboards & then ended up finally in Australia.

i never said your work was shoddy.

imho means in my humble opinion and we all know what thats worth.

your boards cool. different? you said your self robbie keagal does it.

“dateing myself warning” 'in 1999 my first board i ever shaped and built i did was freelap orange opaque top and bottom. i didnt even know what a cut lap was. or maybe ididnt have any tape…hhmmm cant remember.lol

i know you probably worked hard on the board.

so make it show.

as far as cutlaps being hard,no just take time and patience. slower is faster.

it like doing a reverse kick out for the first time then its like riding a bike.

I really like that blue one. It looks a stone was just thrown into the water.

9’9" single fin cruiser. Summertime…

the front third looks 3D

coooool

Morg, obviously clean enough for no pinlines but white pins would look unreal!

I am a glasser and have worked on some of Steve friedmans boards here in oz a great shaper /board maker… his balsa boards are really nice too!

Well… I tried. Didn’t come out like I hoped. Suppose to be a “jungle” pattern. Maybe after I do a couple of hundred more…

heres a few shots of the test panel I did

this will be on the 11’ gun I shaped up
