That is fu&*en insane!, great work mate.
funny how it fits.
MEGA CLEAN… MEGA COOL!!! Did you break that up into many little pours? Looks like you got the detail from pouring lots of small combined cups. Super work!
thanks for the props and yes we used lots of dixie cups. the cool thing is we “accidentally” found some little plastic drinking
cups that dont melt. they are the perfect size for doing all sorts of color stuff. when your done using em’, just throw them in the acetone… no more rippin’ thru 100’s of dixie cups!!!
guess it makes us greener!
This just doesn’t look possible!!! I want one!
Way to raise the bar, guys. Beauuuutiful work…
thanks MD!!!

whats the waste ratio as to what sticks on the board?
like 10% on the board
90% on the floor
???
I would be good to know how much resin to start with on a …say 9 ft board to do a fancy resin color job
personally i cant stand the sound resin makes when it hits the floor.
i catchit in a buket and use it again.
for the most part abstract resin work is got to be 60% on the board and 40% on the floor otherwise your loosing money…and im working on ways to make the 40% on the floor make money too!
here yah go freshwater
every little bit helps
thanks Vader
Oh! Nice board,I was tripin on it for a while there,LOL!
hey vader-
if you dont mind me asking, when you do patterns like that plaid-ish looking one do you kick all the colors at once and move fast (if so, you truly are the master) or do you adjust the amount of cat in each color to have it all kick about the same time? is it UV with cat added? i’m just amazed
i feel i can get the “acid splash” pretty good but the crazy patterns like that i have trouble from the resin kicking too fast, or draining out from kicking too slowly.
really, amazing work.
obie won, i’d love to see another shot of the red one after its polished
call me a purist but i dont use any uv stuff.
sometimes its pour the cobalt in all the colors mix pour the catalyst in and mix and GO. sometimes its well this ones ging on first so it gets a c hair less and ramp up so everything kicks at once. but most of the tricky stuff is done with a partner. one who knows what to do or what not to do, without even saying anything.
