Mind showing us the cups your re-using. I seem like i go through sleeves of dixie cups as well. Would make alot more sense to recycle the cups. How many diffrent pours do you do to get that effect on those boards?? Im thinking about taping off alot of diffrent patterns and and pouring diffrent swirls one by one. Then i could trim the glass and start taping off the next pattern. Just something im going to try soon. This would work because im not production minded. Your work is strong. Great job.
the fumes were so intoxicating even with a resperator my eyes were burning
One board at a time with uv keeps me off the shit list
I work in the garage
Thanks to the responses on this thread I am getting confident that someday I will be able to consistantly pull off a master resin color job, as I want it to come out.
that is all i will say, becuase the best acid splashes happen when you don’t know what your doing…no joke, I’ve seen it happen numerous times, plus it’s how you learn. backyard guys will bring their boards into the shop to get sanded and polished and they have the craziest acid-splashes. when you ask them how they did they have no clue.
oh yeah and some times a clear cheater coat does wonders!
thanks odiwon, it was my cheater coat for a bio foam blank. i agree, the less you think about an acid splash the better it comes out. i like to use a clear base but its cool to use light colors too like a cream or the “champange” and “sienna” from FGH.

Obiwan
Is this before the colors or after.? …I ask because I heard that Cooperfish boards had a second layer of clear and glass over the color lam to give depth
Please to explain for I am just a padawan seeking knowledge of the force
