Not done yet, just freshly glossed. I didn’t know what to do 5 mn before i’ve started this board for myself. Then I’ve mixed some colors, did a quarter of the board as a mexican blanket then poor the rest of the resin together and splash it on to end up with swirls. Still don’t know what to think about it, let’s wait 'til it shines.

This thread is fantastic!!! I’ve never seen such wicked-looking resin work as on this site; nice work by all the artists… Vader you’re Plaid-ish longboard looks insanely good, looks like a piece of candy. Wicked. I’m going to go look for threads on techniques for doing this stuff. Keep it coming!

I think it looks great

nice blanket and the swirl looks trippy

Ken, that ‘‘plaid’’ looks really nice for a “non-pro” (is that an OK term? I don’t want to offend.)

Which one? Hell, they both look good to me - I didn’t see the red one first time around.

this is what I call a glassing room, man I would like to sneak around.

Ken thanks for the comment, I do think it’s cool looking too. It’s what I like to do on a resin work, try new thing. And my main inspiration comes from you all, people of swaylock’s . And also great anonymous glassers and sanders who work under shadow and make a piece of foam pretty and surfable. So thanks a lot for what you already gave to me and for what coming next.

My son just turned 2, and is nearing the end of crib days so I made him a “big-boy” bed. Headboard has Resin Research on 2x6 oz, backed with plexiglass. Two LED lights behind the headboard make it his night light as well. This is my first attempt at a swirl/drizzle, and I think I will not attempt any others with epoxy. Swirls usually look better with poly.

ok here are my contributions to this incredible thread. they are no where near most of the other submissions but they are my first 3 attempts and i dont think they turned out too bad considering…

the longboard is my first shot at resin swirl. i got ok color separation on the bottom, but did not mix up enough to wet the rails and so i had to catch and reuse so the rails muddied a little.
