Those are all awesome looking tints, LasOlas! I especially like the quad wing fish/shortie and the top longboard…
Hey LasOlas…do the rails have a slight blue tint to them? Or is that an optical illusion?
Did you do the deck as one pour, two pours from the same batch, or two seperate batches?
Just wondering.
Great work! One of these days, I’ll be that good;-)
hey todd,
ya the bottom is “coke bottle blue”, i used one drop of green trans and one drop blue trans for the whole batch. the deck was done with the same bucket of resin. just taped everything off and went with it. acid splashes are pretty easy, you just cant think about them too much. the planned out “patterns” (like what vader seems to excell at) are much harder, especially if you dont have help.
here are the rest of the pics i was trying to post last night
um, well here is one of them at least. i still cant post the others- they keep coming up as errors, any suggestions from the mods??
very nice work las olas
Did this one for my girl. 7’0" quad fish. Shape by Ian Zamora. Laminated by Obiwon, everything else done by me. It actually took best glassjob at the Anything but three event last weekend. Stoked!!
More pics of the event here - http://forum.surfermag.com/forum/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=1569465&an=0&page=0#Post1569465
A couple I finished up a week ago. The instructions for the boards were “I like purple, make it purple,” and “Like a blue and white swirl.” Both new owners are pretty stoked!

Hi, nice board, I like the way the tint ends on the tail edge!
This is still my favourite thread here, so many cool boards and inspiring work so I thought I would add to the collection,
heres a couple of resin experiments done this year, im still learning and trying stuff out but it has been fun…
6,1" fish , green tint
5’11" hybrid board, multicoloured tint
6’2" hybrid fish, black " resin smear"
keep up the great work everybody!
Haven’t added anything to the forum in ages, but here’s my last two…
This is my own personal board. Its got a big honking messy freelap on the blue side, and clean cutlap on the white side,
as I said in the other thread, I’m no expert, and always seem to be learning something or other. This is my 1st tiger stripe, and shed some sweat trying to get it right in the cold weather. But, am pretty happy with it.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Hey nice boards. Im like you I have to wait for the weather to warm so the resin will kick. here is my first one it was suppose to turn out like the 2nd one but when i added the blue it went muddy on me and ended up looking like a Boa in the jungle once I got over the shock the out come started to grow on me… it rides really good fast and loose!

I like the second one, with the clear bits through the color, interesting.
Bea,
yeah, its pretty cold and damp up here in Newcastle, UK, and color work is a pain. I just use accelerator to help get things going, and keep the colors as crisp as possible.
Was this boog done by Obiwon or Darth Vader? Lol
here my attempt at one of darths!!
yeah paul!
in the words of james brown, “get on up!”
Looking forward to meet you at the fry Paul
Here’s one I just finished for a client in Devon:
its a lime green tint, but being England, the sun wouldn’t cooperate…
