Surfer Greg Long

shaper Chris Christensen

location:?

did you know you can type DARTHVADER with one hand?

It turns out I have something in common with Kelly after all! Me on my hot pink Christenson:…

oh, I just noticed it is Greg Long on the cover, not Kelly. so the planets are back in alignment and my surfing still has absolutely nothing in common with Kelly’s

My son shaped this fish I glassed it light blue tint /bamboo fins from “Greenlight surf supply”

sand and gloss tomorrow.

Love the blue and bamboo fins, looks great!

nice looking boaards pauluk

Thank you Tommy,

that’s beautiful Tom

just knocked this up last week for a returning client. Tried a new approach to abstract vs pouring and am pretty happy with the result.

still can’t seem to lose all the scratches in the polish though…need some running water at the shop…

nice colors! keeping the deck clear complements the shape/ outline looks good.

hi,

here is my quiver of swirls. foam bleeds too hard to do cut laps …or am i too lazy.

6’0" “classic” fish for Save the Waves benefit in SF last thursday. this was my first attempt at polishing glass-on’s (and a resin pin-line), came out good but a little cloudy around the base of fins. the acid splash came out pretty blah, but people liked it- said it looked like jelly fish

Olas

that swirl looks classy dont knock it

I did the tint from 7 earth pigments from Italia and Chypria, quite happy with the result.
Thanks to Balsa for the Walker Blank and the planer.

Very, very well done, Franck. Now, bring me back that planer, will you?

Kidding. As long as you keep mowing that kind of work, you may keep it for a while…

Would you mind elaborating on your polish process? It looks perfect.

Something like playing with the weight at low speed then releasing the pressure and increasing the speed with the shine coming.
The light really helps a lot.
And having some deep cut back all along…

nice quiver condoro, all shaped by yourselves?

some hotrods and some coolrods

liking it!
