It may sound cheesy, but I really want to thank you guys.
This thread is my all time favorite by a HUGE margin. So many of you are amazingly talented and the boards are simply stunning, not just as surfboards but as legitimate art.
One of the rare threads that is educational, entertaining, inspiring, positive, and full of beauty.

the last board that came to Big Sur without you was stunning!
i'm sure these will be no less

Although this board was posted on the 'Longriders' thread, I didn't make it clear that this one is yours... The board tilt and camera angle made it look as if it has a more piggy outline than it really does so I took another shot with the nose down - same tilt and roughly the same camera angle.
I am still amazed at how similar the boards are considering they are being built across the globe with no communication between builders whatsoever as far as design goes.

Talk about telepathy…
John, it’s great… Three T-bands, one wedged… Did you glue that one yourself? As for me, I very lazily used one of my JustFoam blanks with the stringers already glued in.
"Did you glue that one yourself?"
Hi Guilhem -
It's a long story but to make it short, no. Here is a clue...

Using transparent colors, paint a series of vertical stripes and then paint over them with a series of horizontal stripes.
[img_assist|nid=1054064|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=640|height=147]
Transparent colors get darker as you add more.

“…checking over the stringer looks very very similar to a paper fleece…”
Oh it’s paint. Not trying to fool anyone. One of the nice things about epoxy is that it doesn’t crystalize over a painted stringer like polyester does. So there’s no problem painting it.
Greg, next time I’m back Florida, I’ll look you up.

Hey Atomized:
All the past paint , color applications have been geared to PU PE board construction in the past…
Times have changed , and we have to embrace / exploit Epoxy composite construction…
You CAN add color to epoxy to make it fantastic!! Its just not something that’s established and recognized…
Too many dudes unwilling to give up on the “old school” way of color…
Welcome to the future of epoxy… The best, the strongest glue and soon to be " most functional" laminating system…
Modify the learned color cosmetic tricks to suit…It’s not like you can’t apply learned tech…
This post isn’t directed at you Atomized… Just to all who say " Epoxy systems don’t work with colored lams" …
K.K. may be the epoxy that sets the standard for epoxy color… Fast setting, and clear, something to work with for sure…
This was tinted epoxy with a carbon fiber band.
