Length: 5 10
Width: 20
Hello Knowaloha, thanks
hey reverb
as usual ,, another job well done
slowly getting better the more i mess up.
Thats starting to look pretty good!
First resin tint on SUP. Big thanks to Greg Tate for doing most of the shaping work. Originally wanted the colors to be more opaque but ended up being more of tints. Bought the tints from acidrod.com I spoke about on page 171 so stay away from these if your going for an opaque look. Friend was still stoked on her new board.
one in the bay now… still need to clean up the laps and add one more layer of 4oz on the deck… then hotcoat and finish
Very nice looking! And the SUP came out pretty good too.
Hey fishy try doing the fusion install after the lam and patching over the tail to get the boxs to stay white, instead of the dark blue over it, unless that is what you were going for. cause it looks good both ways
Outstanding work Paul! I had the pleasure of witnessing this one at the fish fry last weekend, the pictures don’t do it justice, STUNNING!
Keep up the great work!
Cheers will! It was good to chat to you the other day!
wow !
I especially LIKE the 6'6" super dialler , Paul !
HOW did you do THAT [or is it a trade secret] ?
it reminds me of some of the jeff ho 1970's Dogtown boards sprays , for some reason ....
cheers
ben
hey Mud
so thats colored gloss resin over the sand coat?
Yes.
do you add another gloss coat?
Yes. Eventually.
pull tape on the colored resin when jelled?
Yes
sand lightly and clear gloss after???
After I poured the rails, I sanded them down lightly to get through the wax and remove the shine. Then I did a thin hot coat over the rails so I could re-shape the rails without burning though the color work. Then I gloss coated the entire top down to the rail apex. Like I said before, I love heavy longboards, so the extra weight is not a big concern to me.
