Show us your resin tints and patterns!

Yes, they sure do!!. Nice looking outline there MP. Lucky bugger!

my shape, but not my handy work with the tints, my glasser does a pretty good job , been doin a few of late, but the extra cost puts people off but its a shame coz they can look cherry with a polish…

I like that board!  Design details?  What size would you recommend for an old fart who weighs about 180 and can't ride shortboards anymore?

this is a Dumpling, it has spawned from riding and shaping mini-sim—s, looking for a better groveller but with great turning still, these are super fast but the bottom shape keeps em really lively…have only done em up to 6’0" so far…this one is 6’0" x 21 1/4" x 2 3/4"…
I am riding a 5’5" atm and having a blast…reckon you could scale one up to 7’0" no worries…

I should stay out if it, but its a slightly longer Mini simmons style board, as in 5'6'' hehe. Huck, im 5'8'' x 185lbs, and i currently have a loan of his 5'2'' x 21 x thick simmons style. I can actually surf it too, though if i were to get one i'd go 5'5'' x 21 1/4. But yes, 185lbs can surf a 5'2''!

the Dumpling is a groveller from hell whereas the dim-SIM ( or minis ) like a bit of wall and a running wave for best results…these things just go in anything at all…stoked >>>>>

do tell...

nothing new really, but have been learning a few things from some semi-finless boards I have been playing with and have just repsositioned the placement of the bottom contours…aiming for an ultra easy rolling, swivelling transition thru turns while still having flat rocker for speed… people will tell me its all been done before and it probably has but its not stopping me from persuing the performance I am after in my boards…anyway, back to the tints and pretty colours…nuthin to see here…move along…

Oh - thought you were going to explain the bottom contours.  False alarm.  OK, I'll move along now. =)

Huck, the one i have at present ( from pridmore ) has a decent single concave from around front foot, out through the tail. If i put s straight edge across the tail i reckon it'd be 3/8''. I have a 5'8'' with similar outline, that has slight v, but the 5'2'' with single concave through the tail feels MUCH more lively. Hope it helps.

very different the dim-sim and Dumpling…different pastry and filling too…its all in the sauce…far out, getting too weird and cryptic here…

blue & violet…

Little board for my mates kid…shaped a year ago when he was born, only just got round to finishing it!

Best polish i’ve managed to do yet and only sanded through to the pinline on one small bit on the rail. Should look good on his wall till he’s old enough to use it.

eye catching color there Keith

looks good

is that all resin work?, tynemouthmatt?

nice seperation

Dang, that looks nice and fun to surf Keith. Can you give us some dimensions on it please.

This Eps-Xps foam board has epoxy resin, silver powder, glitter, and a blue & green swirl.

All the stripes on the bottom and laps is resin work. Foot prints are arcylic and its pinlined with posca pen.

and ya got the little fellas feet covered in some paint too…or twas that sticky resin…good stuff…
