Spring Board Building Challenge

Any thoughts about having a friendly forum board building contest this spring.  I often visit a guitar building forum and every year they do a contest.  Simple ground rules.  Build thread.  Proof of the start date.  Well documented build.  Pictures of the final product.  Voted on by members.  Simple meaningless prize like a t-shirt or something.  Perhaps April 1st to May 15th.

Just something fun to get people motivated and get some good build threads.  No egos just fun.

Sounds pretty fun. 

What would the format be like? Do we agree ahead of time on a general build type, i.e., hpsb, concave noserider, etc…? Then everyone does their interpretation?

I like it, would be a good learning experience, and fun to see what other people come up with.

Build anything you want durring the specified time period.  Start a build thread.  Document your process.  Pictures of the final product.  Perhaps even a ride video.  Vote on the build threads using the up and down arrows when its all done.

This place needs more build threads.

April 1st? Funny start date. Let us know if we can contribute any swag for the winner.

Only other stipulations I would have is that it is only open to current sways members and that its voted on by current members.

Also, one should do all the work I assume? Template, Shape, glass, sand, pinlines, polish, etc…

I’m Keen picked up an old windsurfer in the weekend for 2 bucks I can see a surfboard inside. Mid 6 ft coke bottle tint red and white pins. Most likely a single fin as I’ve really been enjoying the last one i shaped.

Been having serious issues logging on to sways dunno why new browser and working for now
