I read the story in the press before Silly’s original post, and have supported seashepherd for some time, as well as being a member of SAS. I’m not sure what to make of all this and I’ve thus far obstained from adding any fuel to the fire.
As far as mud slinging goes I don’t want to get involved, but I think the issue is one that deserves a voice. I dont make the rules but I still feel that anything that has a impact on our collective experience surfing is a valid point for discusion here
Personally I would like to actually be able to see a whal first hand one day, I think there a lot we could learn from them some of which could probably be applied to the design of surf craft.
There isn’t any whale meat in my city as of last night, my kids don’t eat it and never will. The Japanese public does not drip whale blood from their mouths.
surely you cant be serious! im sure you have asked around at a restaurant or two near you, but there’s a shit load of restaurants in japan and you aint checked them all champ!
keep an open mind. what do you think they do with all that whale meat?
