On my way south I picked up the travel board from Steve and on the way back north, picked up the journal. Attached are a couple of photos of where the travel board has ventured. It was a bit sideshore this day and the camera battery died but it gives a bit of an idea of where the board got wet.
The travel board is now in Brisbane on an old bed with a pile of others boards waiting to get wet again. If there is anyone in Oz or passing through who would like to keep the board traveling let me know.
It was good to see the pics from the Fry, and good to see the 2 different travel boards together… I gave Roger a shirt from our board , was wondering if there is a shirt to go with the Ambrose board ??? would like one if there is…I am based in Yamba-Angourie and would happily have a crack on the board for a while, just have to get it from Briz back down south somehow…I can display it in my shop with my travel board ( which I just got back and am lovin riding it…)… cheers
Good to hear of some interest in the board. We got wet again on the weekend at a northern NSW point. I rarely get to Yamba though was trying to catch up with ian Anderson from there, over easter.
Do you make it to the Gold Coast much? I usually get down there every couple of weeks. Another option, if Steve were agreeable is some exchange at Lennox.
I am overseas from late June to August 1 - just in time for the wooden board day at Currumbin. Were you going to this?
I’ll wait and see if pridmore wants the shirt sent to him seeing he made the original shirt. If there is no post in a few days I’ll send my details as a pm & the board, shirt and journal can be a package deal.
Yeah, would be stoked to get the shirt whichever way you want to work it…The businesses on my tee arent sponsors, just businesses who have been involved somehow, it was a thank you for helping the project and was not a commercial sponsorship deal…I am happy to have a few surfs on the travelling board and maybe a drop off to Steve would be easiest, as I am shaping him a quad ATM and will have contact with him soon , whatever works best…cheers
I am at shop 3 Angourie rd. Yamba 2464 NSW Australia…
steve’s new sled looks like being completed next week, probably a Thursday drop off to him so maybe if the board could be there then ??? anyway, whatever is easiest for you guys, I am happy either way… PM me or can get contact details thru Steve if you want, just not going to post them here…or via my website at www.moresurfboards.com cheers
I could possibly get to Lennox on Friday next week (if that was possible from your end rather than the Thursday) though I had discussed picking up Dudley Perkins for a surf. Not sure if he’s keen for a L detour. The drive this weekend wouldn’t be worth it.
I’m away for 5 weeks from late June, so it would be good to sort out something before then if possible. If you get up to L occasionally, maybe I could hand the board over to Steve as a middleman. Let me know if this is possible as a Plan B and I’ll check with Steve.
Howzit Brother Brose, I’ve been wearing my yelloww healing shirt you gave me and I can tell the difference when I have it on. I can almost swallow again, that radiation really kicks your okole and I never thought anything could do what it has done to me. But I get a little better every day, but it’s still going to be a while till I’m back in the saddle again.Aloha,Kokua
A plan is developing - the travel board will be going south to Mark at Yamba via Steve. All going well I’ll pick up Dudley Perkins & T on Friday and drive down to Steve’s with a surf somewhere on the way.
Kokua - I’m sure I don’t have the power of Ambrose’s trans telepathic transmission but all the best with your recovery.
The board & journal were dropped off at Steve’s today. I’d rung Steve a few times Thursday/Friday but no luck in catching him so the board is on his verandeh and ready for surfing.
