Tribute to Waves.....

Uncle D! Oh man, I wish you could of been there with us… It was so consistent! It was breaking from the outside peak all the way through or you could sit in the middle and get waves from there or you could hang on the end and get waves from there. Just absolute glass… It wasn’t big but still it was the best waves I got in the last 2 months… Perfection. Buoys are already showing another small swell on our side… Tomorrow morning there will be waves again. Call me if you’re feeling a little cold coming on and can’t make it to work… Hehe!

Chip, I like the second pic… Nice left! So close to what looks like a city yet no crowds…

I don’t have any empty waves at the moment but here’s some from the other day…

Hitting the brakes…

I wish I had pictures of empty waves this day… It was really good and some were really perfect…

well, if you hadn’t caught them all, blane , they WOULD have been empty eh ?

bwahahaha !!! jokes … but serious too …

YOUR second shot …well,

THAT’S what I call a REAL STALL , by the way … I have never seen one done while holding a paddle before , though ?!

somwhere in the bahamas…

boat required, rips, sharp coral, sharks. PARADISE!

Bahamas looks GOOD!!!

Chip,

There were so many empty barrels I paddled over but no camera… By the time the guy came out with the camera I was going in… Here’s one from another post of the same morning…

Native, there used to be a fly fishing show on ESPN Outdoors called Walker’s Cay. They never showed the waves, just the bone fish.

hey carve,

well, i don’t know how it compares to hawaii, but it has its days… you just have to be vigilant, know your breaks, and be somewhat carzy to take a boat out on these days(thanks god for unsinkable boston whalers!)

the long flat spells are a bummer though.

looks like you’ve been getting some views to though by your posts. enjoy!

rider - i heard about those shows, and they even went to exuma - where i’m from - but you wouldn’t see the waves as they are a boat 20 min ride away, very secretive too(forgot the name was on the file, damn!)

anyway, lets keep this thread going!

the secret is safe here, just show me around if i ever go to the bahamas.

Apparently from 1976 … photo by Paul’s brother , John Witzig [used without permission] … ***** here will know where this is !

Damn it, Ben! Now you have disclosed my secret spot to the whole swaylockian world!

he he …easily solved …just list your location as ‘russia’…

cheers

ben

look closely

the spirit of diff is gliding a cutback on the shoulder of thet G-peak

and that is a diffplacement hull he’s riding

go diff go G

let the spirits range freely

with mirth and abandon

may we all someday be free

free glide ground swell

unencumbered flight.

…ambrose…

You’re right, Ambrose, and what’s more, I own one of Diff’s hull, dating back to 1969:

And my deepest regret is I could never meet him in person and have him teach me how to shape… Maybe in another life…

… today…

You should have been here yesterday…

okay,

…yesterday, now [that makes sense ?!]

[ meaning , billy …I show you a photo FROM yesterday , but I show it to you , now !.. also for all those with english as a second or third language]

popeye said this was NOT him . [ Maybe you shoulda claimed it , mate ? …with MY eyesight [lack of it] , I NEVER would have even KNOWN the difference !] so there …

ben
