Hey Kensurf…I love it…was the tail inspired by Balsa???

nope

inspired by bendy flexy stick

One of our latest projects. Mexican blanket bottom but not done in the cloth its painted on resin so the lines are crisper. Resin pigment top and resin pigment rail bottom. Resin tail block to match the bottom. Resin pigment feet.

Troy

that isn’t agave on the deck…is it?!

Some boards in the works:

9’6" longboard-gun on the glassing racks:

9’8" longboard with nose and tail-blocks for a fellow swaylockian:

Some more on the way:

Some deep thoughts to get by:

finished this one off yesterday. in the photo only one side has the rail bands done so it may look a little off.

Glassing it today.

Another one we just finished. All Old school pigment with “fake” pigment side stringers. Matching tailblock and fin. Color scheme came off an old Noll that I loved.

Austin, Troy,

“vous êtes de grands malades!!!”

F…ing incredibly great job, guys… Now, what are we supposed to do? Sit down and weep?

Austin I love seeing pitures of your boards …but seriously your putting us all to shame…how to you sleep at night. ; )

I feel embarased to put up the pic of my humble offering.

This has been a great thread, it’s restored my faith in true crafts men (and women?) behind the industry, its very rare to see boards of the caliber above over here. We need more board porn on sways.

Now you all know I prefer to make my own toys…but oneday i’ll be buying one of your boards.

Hey Balsa and Woody,

We appreciate the comments. We were particularly happy with the way this one came out.

Troy

Dang, you ARE ambitious. Looks great. Can you post some close ups of the rails? thx

Balsa, I love your work. Multiple wood stringer in foam. You must be a very patient person.

Hey Greg,

The rails are basically 50/50 throughout. Patterned after a late 60’s Velzy. I will try to get a pic on Monday.

Troy

some of this stuff need to be posted on the “Show us your resin tints and patterns” thread

I’m still hooked on the Alaia thing ! Simple, but sweet !

Finless cutback !

Don’t need fins to hit the lip !

wow !!!

Another beautiful board Troy. You must have incredible job satisfaction.

Cheers

Quick preview. I just hotcoated the fins on this one. I’ve yet to sand it all in but will post pictures when done. all the stripes are resin tint. came out nicely but a bit muddy towards the nose. Had a bit of a mare with cheap masking tape. Started on the bottom, went to do the laps, bugger, no tape on the tail half of the board! So it’s got a orange tint on the deck to hide/ go with the orange stripe closest to the rail.

This paint job took me forever- Ah glad its almost done-.

Going in the Water? LOOK OUT!
