I find boards with the wide point back catch waves much better than wide point forward. They “tip” into them better.
5’4" wide point back, wider tail than nose. Paddles great, catches the tiniest fat waves. I surf this instead of my 9’1". It catches the same waves as my longboard but damn it turns wayyyy better.
nice clean shape! It’s definitely “mod” as the older fishes had more of a Round nose, and substantially wider tail. How does five fins work?
this got me thinking about names and that carries over to descriptions of boards - my latest pet peeve: kooks on craigslist advertising “twin fin with optional screw in third fin”;
{Glassed in twin-fin, optional screw in tri-fin.
Good condition.
Keywords: Retro, Vintage Surfboard, Surfboard, old school board, Arrow Boards, Ward Coffey, glassed fins, tri fin, twin fin, quality surfboards.
thrusters with “removable” third fins!!! sometimes, they’ll launch into some kind of fantasy that they are super collectible, blah, blah, blah…"
aarrghh
one thing’s for sure, a kook is still a kook, and by any other name is still a friggin 'kook! LOL
