daren is a great guy , I've been talking to him here for years . He has been busy with his business , last I spoke to him , so unfortunately doesn't get swaylocks time [wife and kids too, who all surf ...bit like the Wrights [also from the burra , originally , of course !]

Daren  knows ross , too, they have swapped my fins at times . They 'may' surf together occassionally , I'm not sure ...you may see Daren's factory on your trip south . If so , feel free to drop in there and introduce yourself , tell them I said hi , and explain you are 'swaylockians ' [maybe he will give you a broom ! [jokes] .......like I say , he really is a GREAT guy !

 

[it might , ACTUALLY , be YOUR spaceship that he finds a little weird , if anything ?  ha !]

 

  when I first read your name here , i did think , "that's odd .... i'm sure ross said he had a BOARD called that !"  small internet world , hey ? ]

 

  mickD,  i'm glad you've met him , too ...his old shoaly house used to be full of my photos [ on the outside of his  fridge , anyway ?!] ....not sure if they survived the move to Bomaderry , though ? 

 

 when my email was hacked , I unfortunately lost his AND daren's [daren glennan ] adddresses  , bugger !

 [try the local phonebooks , though , like I say , if you're keen ...I would love to see them both ride 'Amby's swaylocks travel board , too , since it will be easier / better to ride , than our 'Auslocks' creation was , I'm SURE ! ]

If your motivated! The guy that Chippy is talking about “Ross Tasker” is the guy you met in the water on a “malaro”.  His known as Rosco and is best mates with the owner of Aquatique Core Store in Nowra (they oftten go the early surf together). Do you feel motivated to hunt him down? An email to Aquatique core store would probably get him involved. I figured its more appropriate for you as he lives Shoalhaven heads (just down the road from you). Entity surfs website has a number but no email: Entity Surfboards 0423987492 Daren Glennan Culburra beach.

If your not motivated, thats Ok, I have to admit I’d rather leave it alone. I don’t know their interest and motivation and I don’t really want to make contact and try and make arrangements with the unmotivated, too hard. Could be too weird.

...now he's located at Bomaderry , maybe not ...but if you asked around at shoaly [near the surf club ] , one of the blokes there would be sure to know his contact ...ross tasker , by name ...[maybe he will even be 'old school' [like me] , and be in the area's phone book ???  ....worth a try

 

he tried the 'Auslocks ' board , [of 'Hicksy's ....hence Amby's and my comments ].

 

'Entity' [Daren] ALSO got to surf it ...so you guys are lucky !

..this is actually the SECOND 'sways travel board' that has been in your neck of the woods [THREE if pridmore's made it there too, but I'm not sure which [if any] of the 'Swaylocks' crew got to surf THAT one ...Mark [Priddy] ...are you here ?

to start the next volume of the book until 

the first volume is realized may be an option.

I utilized the blank sketchbook

common to art stores/book stores

in the 8x12 format hard back…

the point is to contribute fresh

from the water experience…

alas I am 44 minutes short of tomorrow…

and you guys are  west of the dateline

 volume one  should be almost full

maybe time to  be compiled

and reprinted to accompany

volume two for reference achademix.

Given the length of time the board has been in Lennox, the time down your way is a fraction of a second. From my point of view it is more important to rush locating the book.

I last e-mailed Steve on the 27th. Will contact him again next week.

No worries with me passing it onto mick sometime next week or weekend. If it stalls locally, i'll help organise it going further when all are done. I dont think there's a huge hurry though?.

MickD has been in touch by email, I just searched the members lists for “entity” and “quentin” and got no response. Would be good if they still exist and want to be part of this. (but I doubt it) Chippy, do you know anymore about them? If not, the ones presently involved have a natural desire to do the right thing by this thread (and Mr Ambrose) and things should work well. If Beery can’t come down, and I can’t go to him, so be it, me and MickD will have a great day. Micks keen to make sure the board is properly sent to the next destination. All is well. 

Flying Saucer is busted again … cheap Flying Saucer for sale!  … needs repairs, hydrogen turbine 13 blown.

I’m keen and ready anytime. When Beery is done and it suits you, lets pick a nice day and make a movie, get some picks … should be fun. Wish I could come up to Wollongong and meet Beery, but its just too hard at the moment. I am so looking forward to seeing a board that Ambrose has made, and I say that with the greatest respect. I know it willl be special in its own way.

Great to see the board down this way, cool!

Beery, will have to catch up and go for a spin, I’ll bring some of my quiver for shiggles as well. Have to get hold of Mala’ and see what he’s up to.

Beerfan is way, way further south. Unless someone is heading south of Sydney, I think energy may be better directed trying to get it back in the northern hemisphere. A guy called Boothy said he might be able to assist getting it north.
