Ken, Red/very dark orange, and BT apparantly has done it before, so he should know it looks the goods.
I vote super dark orange [alongside with another yellow one]as well. The red might make sb think of japan too much, with the wood forms, and then the yellow does not fit in. Orange!
Do tests !!
I haven't been on swaylocks for ages. This is a beautiful thing. I noticed you used epoxy to put the veneer on . is this an epoxy styro build. I didn't catch that earlier. wonderful job
The green line looks best.
Ok, I’ll say it. Howdga do all the test pins?
Pandanus
It has been a long time
it a pu/pe build
just used epoxy to lam the veneer
I just did like 10" sections with posca type pens
dindnt take long
white still looks the best.
again, all the other colors take away from the board.
hey ken,
nice work.
herb
fin box's are sanded and leash plug installed
shot gloss on the bottom a few minutes ago
and took a pic
garage is shut with the heater on time to go check it for gell
IMO the Lakers color pins looked the best ![]()
are you going to make some fins for it ?
White and/or blue, I think. Absolutely beautiful work, no matter what you choose.
Ken,
Super job!
Black Pinline around the lap ..tieing in to thin black pins next to every wood panel/foam to set off the sunburst pattern.. all connecting to a solid black outline around the "star" in the center.
Its been decided to go with a double white pin line/s
what do you boys think?
remember theres no gloss on the deck as of this time so the pinlines overtake the boards asthetics
that will change when the gloss hits the deck
