Add food to the gas and you got a deal. It’s time I bounced the hell out of my suspension again anyway.
I don’t care where (or if) we are centralized. I spent a week in a little house across the street from Tunnels and never had so much fun in my life. It’s a mighty long paddle around THAT reef!
Bus? Party? Dawn Patrol? It’s all GOOD!
PS not to worry, we won’t bring a crowd anywhere…
Howzit Keith, You were staying real close to my? house and before my shoulder went south on me I would paddle across the reef from the little bay on the back side, it’s just a matter of knowing how.Aloha,Kokua
Howzit Keith, By any chance did you stay at John Sargents rental, a little upstairs unit over their garage. If that was where you stayed it was next door to my house. The fact that you said it was a little house across the street from tunnels started me thinking and that is 1 of the few in the area and John is from the S.D.area originally. That would be a trip if that was where you stayed. Aloha,Kokua
Howzit Kokua, nope, the place I stayed was a one-story, no garage, outdoor shower & chickens in the yard. But probably pretty close by anyway. Yup you can paddle across it, but I paddled around Tunnels reef, ALL the way around, once just to say I did it.
came across this for any big spenders or a group, seems like that week is open.
Howzit emissions< they are a really good vac.rental co. In fact they rent out the house next to mine. here’s a link to the house next door.Aloha,Kokua

Here’s the website with all their units for rent they have some pretty good deals and even rent some for Dick Brewer.
Howzit Kokua, I’m interested in a cabin at the Y, should I contact them directly? Certainly willing to share the space if others are looking for cheap digs…
Howzit Keith, What exact dates do you want to stay there, I’ll talk to Winston and get the info for you and also the phone number. Aloha,Kokua
Thanks Kokua - I’m arriving on 4/21 and leaving on 4/26 (thurs-tues).
aloha,
Keith
Howzit Keith, So you want resevations for 5 nights starting the 21st and ending with the 25th? I'm getting a busy signal right now but I'll keep calling. Aloha,Kokua
Howzit Keith, Just talked to my friend who runs the Y and they are booked solid from the 16th through the 24th. But if there is a cancellation they are going to let me know, The cabins are actually a bunk house with bunk beds that go for $ 12 a person. How many are you traveling with so I can see about other possibilities. Aloha,Kokua
Yep! I’ll also be there, I’m the other half that developed the fin system that Kokua mentioned. We can certainly also provide a couple of sets of boxes as part of the raffle! Let us know who we have to give them to for the raffle!
Sounds like a lot of fun!
-Robin
Howzit Kokua, thanks for checking. Right now I’m traveling solo, the wife & kids are staying home. That way I can surf all day!!

Howzit Keith, O.K. I offered my couch to Herb Spitzer and if he's not here I can do the same for you as long as you're not over 6 ft tall. It's a comfortable couch and if it's to small we can put hte pad on the floor and there you go. I'm sure we can work it out some ways and at least you'll have a roof over your head. That way all you need is a car to get around in.Aloha,Kokua
Sounds great to me, mahalo plenty! I’m going to rent a car, probably something big so I can haul people & boards around…
