I enjoyed it a lot and it rekindled the desire to ride a “big” board every now and then.
Maybe time for me to revisit the tip on a more regular basis in the search for an old gun to hang in the quiver.
I’ve added some fins to the auslocks collection - courtesy of Chipfish.
The clear banana fin box fin, and the pair of red/white/blue fcs fibreglass cutdowns.
The existing big black glass fin box fin was busted (broken tab as per Josh’ early post) and is still with the board - maybe Daren might be able to weave some magic and resurrect it.
I’ve thrown into the pack a similar creation (big black glass fin box fin) that I had in the garage - another chipfish creation.

Finally got to have a ride of the Auslocks today in Knee high fullish lefts out at Mainy.
Surprisingly loose for the size of the board.
I ran it with fin setup that Rosco left in it but will try a few more combos out.
I think I may need to put the bigger fins in to get a bit more drive out of it.
Of course I did take the camera down the beach but when I went to shoot a couple of shots of my 12 year old Jay having crack on her there was something wrong with the memory card, so I will try again next time.
Sorry for the delayed reply, been really busy working and surfing and haven’t been near the computer. I reckon the past winter has been one of the best for waves in this part of the world for a very long time, and I timed my surgery just right to be back for it.
Rode the Auslocks today down the end of the street, I think its just way to much surfboard for a little fella like me, but if you get your foot back and give it some it responds really well, and comes all the way around. Got a couple of pics of my 12 year old Jay giving it a go. I’ll post the pics when I read up on how to do it, as they seem to big and the man wont let me attach them.
So who’s next?, I have to send a few boards over to W.A in afew weeks, and I’m sure I could probably squeeze her in with them if you want her back over there. Or is there someone over here thats want to give it a run ?
well i would hate to think that the board cant do the round trip… so i am in south oz… i am going to canberra this weekend but otherwise in a coupla weeks will be back down to vic for a trip so if it can get to either of those places i can bring it back for a few surfs then pass it along?
