Post your Hull pictures Second Thread

I wanna go Furthur! Up here your as likely to bump into oh yeah as you are bumping into a real hull board. But at the end of summer, nature provides and stock is good. I just gotta get a hold of the film hahah.

Stringerless...

Very cool.

three old and a new

Old cowboy with Old Yeller on the left…Old proneman with New Andreini…Diff. inspired on the right

reminds me of a board by liddle known as the" wild thing"... hopefully it lasts ya a few sessions....

Hey Matt,

It will last as I am afraid to take it into the kinda surf it was built for!! Got a few last week…need to get used to the pin…and get it finned properly…Probably it will live in Mexico…for those rare days…got caught last year(June…I think)without what was needed…

**I AM the **wild thing - what we do on surfboards is wild - i’m not saying my board isn’t a wild thing. when things go wild things get broken and now YOU SK n KJ have all doomed this beauty to a snap of one or both of 2 kinds as per your personal experiences with friends on a board this length without a stringer … do i make it a wall hanger? HA to my recollection SK said he snapped every last stringerless he ever had???

yeah - even the mona lisa is falling apart, like the sphinx - dust in the wind eventually like all of my boards i guess - and all of us and every last thing are fickle fate’s friends

as for the similarities between this and another - one might remark on the similarities of many a splendid thing on the market and so i lay it down that yes - i personally ordered this board because i want YOU to see the remarkable likeness of this board’s quality to MANY MANY MANY other boards you’ve seen bought and sold, ridden, and perhaps broken over something dull and hard be it a skull or a stone or both … if you want to slip it you’re most welcome on board

tomayto tomahto potayto potahto

let’s call the whole thing wild

the most interesting models to my person whether they walk on two legs or float on salt water are the most illusively pedestrian oddities - some things work well and some better and it’s all very singular and personal and fleeting

have a bitchen summer

peace

Miles

it is a bitchin' board. should serve you well at you know where!

If we ever get around to it, we'll be able to make stringerless (we don't use stringers in anything) that'll be harder to break than a stringered PU. Unless I make them all 1.75'' thick :)

I'll keep you guys in mind.

for the record, as far as surfing goes, i hate the summer. again, because it is stringerless, i am hoping you get a few sessions in before it buckles, as they tend to do that. the stringerless feeling is like no other- but the buckle is a problem- so enjoy it as long as you can....

lil more info? who made it and how heavy was she glassed? curious to hear others’ experience with stringerless hulls…done a number for myself and ill be damned if they aren’t the funnest things on no wheels!

thanks MM! i intend to get what i can in on this one… for me the summer means sand in my whole family’s mouth so it resonates positive, but SURFING during the summer can be nuts… crowds are impossible to negotiate - time to exploit my new 4/3 @ 5:30am and hopefully a beautiful 6’ glass wall

as to the snapping of the new sled - i like my 6’6 stringerless for it’s buoyancy and it’s mattelike feeling - flat speed! i doubt you’d disagree that a 6’6 stringerless standing at half a foot less tall makes it equally less likely to halve under my weight or the weight of a lip - if the 7’0 gives way then i have my shorter board to snap - NEXT! hopefully there will always be more of these kinds of wild things for everyone to enjoy

Truly a  killer brace of boards. Marc is making me an 8’ Pintail Vaquero for trips to Central America. Something about pintail hulls, the way they are foiled–they just look right.

8’ stringerless andreini vaquero- fast and very very smooth. so fun. i rode it this morning.

flex much? nice tail there… can you get a shot of her ass for us please? looks rockin’

what kind of foam and glass?

don't know if you have been to KP's,but if you haven't someday you should. many stringerless hulls, ridden to death.all of which have buckeld, been repaired, ridden and buckled  again....their feeling is insane, but economically can be hazardous....

pretty thick and pretty heavily glassed. a trade off between flex/squirt and the board lasting a while. i’ll try and post a photo of the tail when its light. got a second surf in today- so happy.

7’0" Roundtail.

Stringerless.

What's the thickness on that one Spence?
